The one thing that I like about the Voyager is something that Yamaha BETTER address if it comes out with another Venture is the charging system. The Voyager has a 47 amp system if I'm not mistaken. The next bike I buy will be able to power everything I want to wear and light up and not break a sweat.

Wow! Can you even imagine being in the colosseum and hearing that, the acoustics would just grab you by the throat. What an outstanding version of that song, I never have a dry eye when I listen to it or the star spangled banner....Thanks Bobbie

Like I have mentioned on this post....I am a rich man to have folks that care about me. You reap what you sow, so I believe that I have done a fair amount of sowing here I am glad to see that the feds are going to help the big 3. This takes a load off my mind for a few months atleast, then I may have another job...who knows. Thank you all again for your support and well wishes, it's the worst time to sell a bike and right before Christmas no less. If Lonna can find some work and ease the burden that could be all we need. If I can just get some sheckles ahead in the bank, I wont have to sell it

Gary....you didn't bring enough warm weather back...it's just barely raining here. Looks like you had fun and thats all it's about
-
Good luck with all the test my friend, as always your in our thoughts

All of Lonna's and my vacations are cycle ones. In '06 we did a 10000 mile 28 day run and went to the west coast. Started in Michigan to Vogel state park in Georgia for that rally. Then up to SD to see Mt. Rushmore, over to Susanville Ca. for a VW rally. Stayed a week with my dad in northern Ca. and headed to the coast up into Oregon. Shot back across the country and up into Mn. for the PIP rally and then over and down the Mighty Mac back home. I have always wanted to go to Austrailia and rent a bike and do it there...monies is the problem with that. The USA has so many places to go that I could do all my vacations here and never get to see everything. Good luck in whatever you decide

I had a 1200 sporty in the service and it was a good bike, I wouldn't mind taking that one for a ride

Here we go.... Time again to put the 1st gen driving light brackets on sale...just in time for Christmas So here it is $25 shipping included anywhere in the USA, $27.50 in Canada (Sorry Guys) until December 24th at Midnight. I have probably about 10 sets left to sell and then they are all gone. I will keep 4 sets to donate to future international rallys. So dont delay and get them while I still have them, cause once they are gone....there gone! http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=1371

Personally I really like the style of it and would LOVE to ride one. The motor is small, but Honda has always had excellent performance out of it's smaller engines.....My buddy owns a Honda shop, wonder if he'll try to get one

Dont ever let that stop you from posting, we'll figure out what your trying to say. Good advise on both accounts, let us know how you do -
Steve, Very good insight on your part and it's going to be a crap shoot at best. In 1985 GM built this new boiler (there were/are 8 smaller boilers that were converted to natural gas in the 80's for their steam load) # 9 as we call it is a coal fired CFB (circulating fluidized bed) unit that will produce 300,000 lbs of steam an hour. The Generator is a GE 28 mega watt unit with a small turbine. Deal is, half of the steamload is used for extraction and sent to the surrounding facilities for heat. This cuts down on our ability to generate maximum mega watts. It also cuts our summer output to crank up the juice. Hard saying what will happen, if the big 3 go under, a job wont be my only worry. So I'm really not too concerned as I will just pack up and leave Michigan if I loose my job. They can deal with the house, but I wont stay here thats for sure. We'll see what happens and go from there, I would just like a few less bills in case I have to get out of here fast. I'll just take it 1 day at a time and hope that the man upstairs doesn't have me jumping through hoops to learn another lesson ...and for all you others Thank you for thinking of us, I can't tell you how nice it is to know that there are folks out there pulling for us. Oh and Rich....you might just see us in Wyoming with any luck

It's unfortunate that I couldn't further my Airframes career after I got out of the service in '91. I really enjoyed that kind of work and now it could have taken me down south...good of you to post that info up
