Jacques, There will not be a connection on your '84 wiring harness to install a factory cruise control. You would have to completely change the wiring harness over from the '90 onto the '84. It might be a better and easier idea to go with an aftermarket one. You might want to PM Dray on the site here and ask him which one we installed on his bike, I don't recall which model it was, but it was an Audiovox.

OK folks.... As mentioned I am letting this thread run until Wednesday at midnight. I will then stop taking volunteers for this endeavor. I will then post another thread about the donation details and this will be officially under way. If you think you want to try this and be part of the volunteer force then get ahold of me and I'll add you to the list. Good luck to everyone with your goals and here's hoping that we shed the pounds and make a good donation to St. Judes

Replace the wires and caps as you can get at them easier with the fairings off, otherwise Mike summed it up quite well -

Steve, I truly though you were pulling our leg, until I tried it.....HOLY COW! That is very trick and really freaks you out when it does come into focus VERY Cool PS: For those of you that are trying to see this here is a tip. Cross your eyes hard and then slowly start to bring them back to normal. There is a point where the pic will come into focus in 3D, but you have to keep your eyes fixed in 1 spot while doing this...hope this helps some.

Thats a great tool to have, I have the Carbtune and it is invaluable when working on multi carb bikes

Whatever they want to call it, I'll say it missed the mark. We went to the bike show last weekend in Novi MI. and I sat on one of them. We may think that our RSV's are antiquated, but the Voyager has only 2 speakers in the front. It also doesn't have the fit and finish that the Venture has. There are a lot of plastic pieces that compose the front upper and lower fairing. I also noticed strait out that some of the plastic pieces still had the molding lines from when it was extruded...it just looks cheap. The saddlebags were VERY flimsy and the hindge assy left a lot to be desired with tolerances. I opened the rear trunk and there is a cable that keeps the lid from over extending. It's not user friendly as it obstructs the useable cargo space of the trunk. This is just me, but there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that I would buy one of the Voyagers to replace my RSV

Just to keep this up top and keep y'all in the loop. We have 20 volunteers that have agreed to loose some weight...here's who's loosin' Leadwolf56-30 lbs Squidley-35lbs Mamamo-20lbs Tartan Terror-40lbs Mini Muffin-5lbs Brake Pad-22lbs Taters-15lbs Vtirelli-40lbs Midnight Rider-20 lbs Dragon Rider-20lbs Cinderella-20 lbs Stardbog-25lbs Snarly Bill-25 lbs Wkboard-25lbs Bongo Bob-25 lbs Big Tom-40lbs '93 Venture-50lbs Sleeperhawk-35lbs Roadkill-35lbs Davecb-20 lbs Tinkerbell-20lbs If you haven't sent me your weigh in weight go ahead and do that as I have all the info written down in a folder. Our total combined weight loss is at 567 lbs I will let this thread run for 3 or 4 more days and we'll close it off. After this thread is closed we wont be accepting anymore volunteers as the next thread will be for people to donate towards the total weight loss, so we can't be adding additional weight to this total. If your thinking that you seriously want to loose weight jump in. If not then hopefully you'll be able to donate towards the accumulated loss. Just wanted to share that Roadkill sent me a PM giving me his start weight. He mentioned that he did it BUCK NAKED! If I have to suffer with that mental image, then I'll spread the wealth and make sure you all do too Thank you all again and especially Darren for this great idea Keep in mind that the folks that have accepted this challenge are a team, if you feel weak at some point always know that you can lean on eachother. I even promise not to feed you cheesecake or ice cream....just for your own good

Thanks for the thread Mo, This is what I like to see and I'm all for the support for eachother. Really 2 things to remember, you have to limit what you eat, portions should be kept small, and exersize. Those are the 2 things that will keep weight off you. I know I am VERY guilty of eating large portions, now being past 40 I have to change my way of thinking of how much to eat. I have been stretching before work everyday and I definitely feel a difference. Good luck to all you you with your weight loss and always remember that I am here to chat with anyone that wants to

It certainly wasn't you....your just a brute!

Folks lets not turn this ugly, Cindy did this for a good reason and even though folks have strong opinions on it, in the middle of winter is no time to start a thread going into a fight about smoking. We've been pretty good during this PMS season, lets not allow the snow to get us all bitter OK!

OK folks.... Were off to a good start with about 20 people volunteering to loose some weight Right now our total combined weight is 292 lbs, For those of you that wanty to join in on this PM me your target loss and what your at now. I am writing it out on a sheet to keep track of it. I'll post up this evening who I have on board so far, thanks to all of you that have accepted the challenge and for 93 Venture for dreaming this up

Smaller Front tire Observations.
Squidley replied to SaltyDawg's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Wayne, Easiest way to check if there are aftermarket links is look at them. If they are a green color those are stock links, if they are Stainless steel they are more than likely the upgrade -
I'll just let them fight it out a bit Steve, nothing like a good sparring match in the PMS season

If you like it thats all that matters, sounds like a good comparison and I know you'll have many enjoyable miles on it. Keep us updated as you put the miles on her
