  1. Excellent news Curtis, now you have a whole lot of riding to plan
  2. Thats not bad, as long as they know what they are doing. I would also suspect that you might have to replace the valve cover gaskets as you have to pull them off to shim the valves. Make sure that if you have them do it that they guarantee the covers wont leak. Otherwise have them replace the gaskets before they put it together, or find out if that price is with new gaskets.
  3. Keep it up Fishboy
  4. He musta felt nekkid without his tools
  5. Thats a good shot of the festivities, you might have mistaken the party for being in Salem Massachussettes
  6. I'm gonna keep on telling that Geologist story and if you kick me....I'll kick you back Great having you here, I hope to see you again real soon
  7. Front tire size is 150/80-16 Rear is 150/90-15
  8. Nope....Dano is Jim reincarnated....funny pic
  9. I'm not familiar with Mercury Sticks, but the ones I have seen are very long and perhaps that is something that it needs to be I have a Carbtune (I know not for everyone) and that works fine for me. I have heard of folks sucking the mercury into their engines and thats not good
  10. That would be very unfortunate, but it just seems like Yamaha doesn't listen to us. We'll see if they even re design it....I'm not holding my breath on that one
  11. After seeing the Kawi 1st hand at the bike show this year, I wasn't impressed. Definitely a different feel on that site as to him posting his thoughts up. I haven't ridden one and I know that the RSV has more standard equipment and a better sounds system with 4 speakers instead of 2. I know I wont waste my time with riding it, I know some of the Kawi faithful were looking for this machine. Sounds like it might not be what they were looking for
  12. I want to take a few minutes and Thank EVERYONE that was able to make the M&E this Saturday at McRae's. I can't even begin to tell all of you how much this meant to Lonna and myself. Pretty much everyone knows of Lonna's and my plans to move to Texas. As much as we are excited to get out of Michigan, there is a bitter sweet pill to have to swallow, and that is leaving the people here that we care a great deal about. As quite a few of you know, Lonna and I were kept completely in the dark about the "Quilt" that was being made for us by none other than Marca Norg (The better half of Marcarl) and Robin Higson (Wizard 765's better half) It is a beautiful piece and something that Lonna and I will cherish the remainder of our days. Nice work to Freebird that sent out the mass email and helped the accomplices to totally dupe us. This doesn't surprise me as I have been on the planning end of some very secret projects here on the site The time at the restraunt was fantastic and the staff there took good care of us. I'm guessing that about 70 people showed, we had over 30 bikes in the parking lot and 5 cages. Of course after lunch/supper we had to do an ice cream run, which we did up to St. Clair and bombarded a small creamerie who was very thankful that I showed up with 20+ people. Then we went back to our house....and thats where the antics started up. My sister in laws beau while we were gone brought a triwall box full of wood to the house and prepped for a bonfire. There was the usual BSing and then the "Beverages" were being consumed, quite liberally by some. With all the wood gone and some very good story telling...."Can you hear them now Clarice" we retired, none worse for the wear, but very happy to be able to enjoy the company of others. Sunday morning started with it raining ( I wish the weatherman would get his story strait ) and the last stragglers from the day befores escapade loaded up and headed out towards their domiciles. Lonna and I can't remember the last time we had this much fun. I was so glad that everone made it here and back home in 1 piece. So to Marca and Robin for your tireless efforts with the beautiful Quilt, and all their accomplices, we love you folks. To everyone from us THANK YOU we will not forget this weekend for a long time to come, and for the conspiritors that helped in anyway with our wonderful gift....Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.
  13. Seems that Earl is getting a pretty good reputation here for helping others out.....Good on ya Earl
  14. Couldn't have said it better, that should pull awsome, very nice work

  16. Magnum PI was my all time favorite, but I watched Hill Street Blues and Beretta back in the day
  17. It's different....I'm with Don, it's neat looking, but I dont know if I'd want to ride it That little VW is pretty trick too, he should paint it like the Mystery Machine on Scooby Doo
  18. Looking forward to seeing you my friend, be safe on your trip and were having a bon fire tomorrow night
  19. That inline 6 is a Honda CBX, very rare to find them these days, I guess it was a monster as far as the torque.
  20. Nothing really, there is only 1 right in the center of the collector running fore and aft, basically just splits the chamber in half. Clay, Not a hard job, just time consuming like mentioned above. I had to do it on my '89 and cursed at it a few times, but got it buttoned back up with no issues. Front tubes are easy to get off, the rear suck as you have to take the down tubes out of the rear heads. This is so you can break loose the pipes from the collector, putting it back on can be a bit tricky, but paitence will help you immmensely
  21. Good to hear that you got the real culprit taken care of, the warranty is nice
  22. As much as I'd like to, I need to be prudent with my monies right now, Thanks for offering though
  23. Nice looking trailer Steve, I couldn't agree with Freebird more, good to see that your excited about getting it. I myself won one of the laptops and was so happy to get one of them. I have played with it on the road these past 3 weeks and just couldn't be happier that I won it. Good on ya and have a great time with your "New Toy"
  24. I'm reading all this and laughing It's a ton of work, but Thank You for doing this for the members Dan. Wish I'd have looked at it earlier as I might have got one myself for a spare, such is life
