Stop at the Hub and have them get you one of their handouts. There are some awsome roads there, I did one called the Jasper Disaster, that was a good one I have heard the Cliff House was nice, we didn't get to go there though

That Decoder is a cool deal It says the same for me when I type that Vin in, I should check the one on my '89

That looks exactly like the 2 '99's I have owned, wonder if anyone has called it to his attention? Nevermind, I just saw the responce about the color. Me thinks that if it is titled as a 2001 I would definitely stay away from it as I would be concerned about the VIN #'s matching

New Avon Venom....nearly killed myself!!!
Squidley replied to Maritimer's topic in General Tech Talk
The Avons really help with the "Feel" of the bike, the design of the tire, for whatever reason, makes the bike feel more nimble. I know folks that have changed from the Bridgestone and as soon as they installed the Avon stating the bike has never felt of handled this good. I am a huge fan of the Avon Venoms, especially on the Ventures. I have had the 130 front also and it does make the bike feel even more neutral in the steering dept. Only drawback I have with a 130 is at highway speeds the bike doesn't feel as planted as with the 150. It seems to me to get blown around a lot more. -
You bet I thought of toes obviously to your Footsie name. My parents inherited a cat and his paws are just like a lions, just smaller. They are very defined and they call him...Toes

This is the 1st time I have heard of an Avon failing, I have run them religiously in the past. On all the Avons I have owned the sidewall pressure is 50 lbs, I'd hate to think what he had in it that would make your statement of overinflation ring true (Not that it isn't)

Todd, Here is a program that might help you in the translation department http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ I believe that Russian is close to czech, so I would try to use a Russian to english on the bablefish and see how that goes -

Doubled up the clutch spring.
Squidley replied to uncledj's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
John, The "springs" on the 1300's is a disc and not individual springs. I personally have never heard of anyone installing 2 stock spring plates on a 1300 engine. I have aways purchased the kit from PCW racing with a new spring plate and removing the half friction disc in the back of the clutch pac with a full one. The PCW kit has a stronger plate that is a harder material with more spring pressure that doesn't fade. I tend to be heavy handed with all my bikes and I have installed the PCW kit into 3 of the 7 Ventures I have owned and been extremely happy with the results. You might want to think about that route instead of doubling up 2 stock plates -
How about 'Toes" ?

I'd wear it like the yellow ribbons until our buddy comes home from over seas. I'm quite secure in my manhood and have no problem wearing pink. Besides I'll wear it around Riderduke and when we go back to Pizza Hut in Oberlin I'll make that waitress think David and I have something going on
-
I digress...I'll be good and I'll wear a PINK one with pride

Did I say that I was going to buy a shirt
