  1. Easy about the Navy there Cowboy
  2. Kreg, I would check the bracket that holds the rear caliper on. There is the 12mm bolt that secures it on the front of it to the swing arm, check the caliper bolts also. I have had to tighten a few swingarms, are you also feeling the bike being a little "Loose" while in a curve?
  3. Feb '05 for me, it's all Brad T's fault iffin you aint likin' me
  4. Perhaps "A Horse with no name"
  5. Bob, I dont necessarily think you fried anything (I might be wrong though), even if you had the car putting a charge back in the battery it wasn't any more voltage than the bikes charging system puts out. A weak spot on the 1st gens is that fuse block under the faux tank cover. I have replaced mine on all the 1st gens I have owned and several other 1st gens of other members. Skydoc17 has a kit that he sells in the classifieds http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/2330 I use an 8 spot fuse block and mine looks like the pics below. The next and perhaps maybe the most important question, why was the battery dead, and how old is it. If it's more than say 3 or 4 years old, get a new battery. Only then will you be able to check the charging system to make sure it is all working right. Chime back in and give a few more details to the story and we'll see what we can come up with
  6. Looking good Lew, I know I have had a lot of time with one of those spray guns in my hand. Love the color combo, almost looks like the '09 "S" model with a pewter instead of sea shell. Cant wait to see the bike all together...good job buddy
  7. Carl, I can imagine your feelings, I'm sure my parents felt the same way when I was headed for the middle east during the 1st gufl war. Let your son know that we are proud of what he carries for us and we wish him nothing but the best. May peace be with all of you and.... Semper Fi

  21. Potato Creek sounds like a winner to me with the 5th year annivesary coming up. I'm actually not too worried about carving a bunch of twisties. I know that a day trip south of Indianapolis has some great riding roads, Right Sybil? Kevin, Thanks for jumping in on this and if you need other help with a committee should this materialize I will be glad to help you with it in whatever capacity you deem appropriate
