  1. For shame Mike ....But I will add that we have trailered quite a bit since out accident as Lonna is a little leary of such long hauls on the bike. But I do think it's funny seeing mostly HD's being trailer and garage queens
  2. Very Cool! I remember that posting and it's great to hear of her Fathers recovery

    i am needy

Thom, I have a set of the Marklands and the clamps, but let me mention this. I installed my board a little different as I HATE the crap setup that markland uses to attach their boards. I went out and bought a set of the Kuryakyn clamps and did a bit of modifyling to mine. I'll try to get a pic posted tomorrow, but PM me just to help me remember, this funeral has me scattered a bit.
  4. Have fun and be safe copper
  5. JT, I had the same thing happen to me on the '89 I just bought. I ended up getting a pipe that would fit inside the old one and used it as a backer plate to reweld the original tube on. You need the OD of the original pipe for the muffler to clamp back onto. It wasn't a real big deal and can be done for minimal monies. If you want to wait a bit we'll be down ina few weeks and I'd be glad to help you with it.
  6. Glad to hear you caught it in time, rear tire problems....very bad
  7. I believe that one of our Michigan members here has them on his '03. James Beyer (Red Ryder) is the fella I'm talking about, shoot him a PM and he'll chat with you.
  8. I dont think the bubbles are a big deal in the sight glass, there are probably several different ways that they can accumulate there. It's possible that the job wasn't done properly, but you more than likely wouldn't have any clutch if this were the case. It's really not hard to bleed the clutch, buy a speed bleeder and do it yourself, then you know it's done right.
  9. Have you done a complete tune up? Wires Plugs and caps? Thats exactly where I would start if you haven't done it, and have you replaced the fuel filter?
  10. I rarely ship UPS, their rates have gone crazy, I have always, for the most part, used the USPS and they beat UPS 9 times out of 10
  11. This is a great place isn't it
  12. Folks.... It is with great sadness that I come on here and ask for you to take a second and remember a great man, Ron Gaskill. Ron was Lonna's and my neighbor for the last 7 years, today God took him home and it feels like I have been hit by a truck. I had a very strong bond with Ron and he was one of my great friends, I could talk with him about anything. We had the motorcycles in common, as he rode for many, many years with some of the clubs out of Detroit. I can't explain to you how I felt about Ron except by saying I loved him, we were brothers in spirit and I am devestated by his passing. Ron was a member of the Michigan wood carvers club. Recently he has been an intrigal part of canes for Veterans. The group has been presenting any Veteran who served all the way back to WWII hand carved canes. He has also been donating all his time and efforts to making these canes for all. Ron leaves behind his wife Nancy and his Daughter Amanda....Ron was 58 years old. Rest in peace my friend, and I await the day that we can ride together....God speed.
  13. Sherry (OMG on the site here) out of Toronto carried her Teacup Chihuahua in her jacket with her.
  14. BRING IT!!!!!
  15. I know about flat rear tires, glad you got it handled without a trip to the hospital, we weren't that luck
  16. Yep! Best listen to him Sucah!
  17. Alex, Just call PCW and talk with John Gayne and let him know that you wnat to purchase the upgrade clutch kit for your Venture, he'll send you everything you need.
  18. Good news, now 1 step closer to moving your life in a better direction
  19. Your company is the looser, not you. I just went through the same thing when Detroit Edison let me and 20 others go. I wont be working for them again, and will take my skills elsewhere...to the competition. One door closes and another opens, we just need to be mindful to look for opportunities wherever they come up. I can totally relate to what happened to you.
  20. Now that would be sweet! We have had Maddog here from down under, Freebird was the only one that got to meet him though
  21. If I'm not mistaken I know that HalRSV99 has over 100000 miles on his '99, so better than 160K He's in Ontario outside of Kitchener. I know that Swifty has about the same or better on his '86 and he's in Kitchener.
  22. Absolutely!
  23. Good on Ya Curtis, and yes we need to see some pics
  24. They made a gold one in '84
