  1. Come on down, the waters fine and we'll have a party!! BTW if anyone wants our addy down here just PM me, I wanted to wait until we actually got a place of our own before I sent out a mass email
  2. More than happy to help you out my friend, besides I KNOW that I can talk you out of a swing at me with an....ICE CREAM. Remember I was the one that got extra scoops on mine at your expense at the ice cream joint by the house Just gotta know how to to talk with folks
  3. You know Tom.... When you and I start to spar in a thread, it seems that a lot of folks get interested in it. This could really be a great marketing plan, whatcha think....beside I kinda like busting your chops from time to time
  4. PM sent fisherman
  5. Be safe Buddy
  6. Sure is fun to bust Tom's chops though
  7. Hey....even Moderators need to stir the pot every once in a while, besides....you know you love it
  8. Dont quote me but the cams are a bit milder in the 1st gen and the valves are bit smaller if I'm not mistaken. There is no Vboost on the Venture either, and I run my '89 past the 8K redline regularly and the engine is running out of steam at thast point with our cams.
  9. Do they make one to fit your big head?
  10. Maybe so....but it might have skeered him into leaving the group after seeing that!
  11. Steve is a great guy and probably a better pic than Todd. Todd would have needled you on having a 2nd gen and who really wants that Love you Todd....no really!
  12. Thanks Annie for thinking of our "Yanks"
  13. Unfortunately for the RSV fleabay is going to be your only real recourse. I dont know of any aftermarket company that makes one for it that doesn't really cost as much as the factory Yamaha one Just for clarification I am talking about the mounting bracke for the lights. Some have installed lights differently on the front and lower forks. Contact Carbon One as he put a set of bullet lights down on his crashbars.
  14. Now you have my interest peaked
  15. All the best to both of your boys Monty, we are very proud of their service to the country
  16. I thinks this might be a good thread, already got my attention with the battery tender JR
  17. That sure is a motley looking crew
  18. OK here folks.... It seems that, lately here we are having some growing pains with what is "The Rating" of the site. Some folks are going the PC route and going by the movie guidelines, others push it a bit. If we say PG some will push that envelope and test the waters a bit further. This is a "FAMILY FRIENDLY" site, yes we are bikers and if you get around me at a M&E you WILL hear some colorful language out of me from time to time. If I am around younguns I will refrain my lanuguage out of respect to the parents. I do not bring it here on the site because of our family friendly guidelines. I'm not perfect and I dont expect anyone else to be, but 99% of the jokes that you recieve in your email inbox does not belong here. Perhaps it is a good idea to keep it at a "G" rating so that the most that is pushed is "PG"
  19. Easy way to think about it is what would you want your 6 year old daughter or grand daughter seeing or reading if they came up behind you when you were on the site unannounced.
  20. What are you waiting for Yammer, only a few hundred miles for you
  21. Remember we talked about "Pennance" to become a true rider, this is part of your training Grasshopper Just remember your fair game now, expecially since you told everyone that your Tom's sister
  22. I actually started to post in the body of the post #1 is... and then I decided to change all them on my computer as I saw they would show up in the pic when it was clicked on. I know how you feel as I like to put names and faces together. I'll remember to do it like this when I post my pics I have to say that I really, REALLY, had the best time I can remember for a long time this weekend. I have been to as many of the rallys as I can, but this one was so much fun that it was stupid! Perhaps it's because we miss our family and friends up north as much as we do. But I really felt great this weekend being with all the Texans. Still a lot on my mind with work and starting a new life, but this was needed badly and I want to Thank Tom and all that made it happen again. We had the best time with you all and I look forward to doing it again very soon
