  1. My thoughts exactly
  2. Congrats on your sons appointment, there is a whole lot to be proud of by making Eagle Scout...Good on Him!
  3. Ron, Thank you for your sacrifise, I was in your same position in 1990 at the beinning of the 1st gulf war with my Fiance. It was a very hard time for her as the technology was nowheres near what it is these days with email and web cams. I hope you can get her involved with the ombudsman (if thats even what they call it these days) and help her to connect weith other wives, she'll need that support net. Please do have her join up here, we will do what we can to help ease this burden that you 2 will face. All the best to you soldier, you will be in our thoughts and prayers for a safe return home and retirement.
  4. Thats the spirit!!!!
  5. Whacha Get Whacha Get??
  6. No worries Ben....I know where yours and many others allegiance lie
  7. I'll keep putting the miles on for you bro
  8. I'm with you Lewis, I'd love to ride one of the Interstates as I have always liked them
  9. FWIW.... I have never had an issue with the hydraulics on mine, but thats just me. I will tell you that all the jacks are made in China so it's a crapshoot. I'd be willing to bet that if you did have problems and took it back to Sears they would probably make it right. Ponch has one of the yellow ones, and it's nice, but the handle is right in the way. It might be able to be removed, but if not that would be a PITA to work around.
  10. Damn Mister! That made my arm hurt just hearing about it Take your time and heal up right, we dont bounce back as fast when were into the 40 yo mark.
  11. Bubber, From what I have heard the Larin has a shorter platform length. If you have a Carbon One lift adapter it doesn't fit real good. I would go with the Craftsman myself, I actually have 2 of them.
  12. David in NY....priceless
  13. Nah, not rolling over on you, this H/D will be the 1 bike I NEVER get rid of. It was given from the heart from the family of a friend that I loved dearly. The least I can do is give it 1st billing as I will sell my Ventures 1st before this H/D leaves my possesion. No worries fellas, I'm not going anywhere, just gonna make a bike from a friend come back to life
  14. Yep, You betcha! Gonna do some rides for folks more north than you here in a few days
  15. Site looks good Carl, best of luck with it
  16. It's a different look for sure, the no mufflers thing is pretty lame to me. I have run my G2's without them while I was doing maintenance and it is LOUD, you'd go deaf in no time. If the bike could be picked up a lot cheaper than what he's asking, say $7500 it would be worth putting back together. Other than that your basically looking at a Tour Deluxe with a full fairing
  17. It is a pretty cool place Thanks for the kind words, I know Don definitely appreciates them as do all of us that work to keep this place oiled and running smoothly
  18. Dan.....I rode for YOU today buddy, 73 degrees here and even though it was a bit overcast, I suffered through it just for you....see how selfless I am
  19. ....and I dont leave benind any evidense
  20. I don't know that I would accept $300, that will do NOTHING as far as dealer repairs. It might just be nothing, but you may be looking at substantial more monies. I would have HIM pay to get it running right and then deal with it. It's winter up north, that bike isn't going to sell fast. Make him sweat it out or come off atleast 2X that price PS bad thing about Seafoam is you have to run the bike hard for a few hundred miles to get it all out and fresh gas through the carbs.
  21. You are such a bonehead! But if your hammerin' on me your leaving some innocent bastard alone
  22. Both have their advantages, it's strange getting used to my Electra Glide. I will say one thing though, the steering and nimbleness of my Harley IS better than the RSV's I have owned. No it doesn't have the power up top that the Venture does, but it will pull out of the hole like nobodys business. Now if Yamaha would only upgrade the Venture to real world needs...that could be a whole nother ballgame.
  23. One mans trash is another mans treasure (Pun Intended) The Vision is a radical departure from what we are used to, but innovation has many faces. I personally dont like them, but if it makes you happy then thats all that counts. And as always, dont try to leave us, we'll hunt you down and drag you through the streets kicking and screaming...enjoy the new scoot
  24. That would be the best way to do it, take 2 days off and get 4 in return....I'm in again
