Auxiliary Fuse Box
Squidley replied to 91nwl's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Here is a thread that talks about both fuse blocks, Earls is a great upgrade and I would have bought his if I hadn't been doing the ones like I did on mine. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35612&highlight=fuse+Block -

I'm in Blanco right now at Toms house but I have pics of the fuise upgrade that I have done to mine. I can tell you right now that you can go with the one that Skydoc17 sells in the classifieds and you wont be disappointed, his products are TOP NOTCH! -

Well I have THE 1989 2 tone Blue Venture Royale, with the coveted Vmax motor in it!

Dale, The biggest thing with the HF trailer is to use a GOOD high speed wheel bearing grease. I'm pretty good at repacking the bearings once a year. All my trailers have had Bearing Buddies on them and before a big trip I would always purge old grease out and have fresh new in. I use Kendall Super Blu now and it works well, the one time I was trying something else, my bearings went bad....lesson learned. BTW I have pulled all my trailers behind several different Ventures at over 80 mph. A couple of them were with 8" wheels....you'll be fine

I never have had to sell a 1st gen driver on a G2, I just let their wife sit on the back and the deal is done

If you did then you would recieve thousands of emails everyday until you talked with them...better let it ride out here

I got a chuckle out of the "Famouse" V4 motor, it's in reasonable shape, but his idea of showroom and mine are 2 totally different ones. All the cases are ratty looking and the speakers look pretty funny too. "Fly in and ride it anywhere" isn't Chitown getting hammered with a blizzard? That gave me a good laugh too

The wave goes way back, and it's not just bikers that do it. I remember when CJ5 Jeep owners and the VW Beetle folks used to do the same thing. Just a brotherhood thing I suppose.

That is a funny word too! But now I have 2 words that I dont know what they mean

It wasn't terrible, but I would want some additional support if I was underneath and working by myself. Like any type of lift from China, I would reinforce it to meet my comfort level. It worked out pretty well and I wouldn't mind having one except it blocks 1 side of the bike when in use

Jim, 3 words my friend...Very Smart Move, lots of fish in the sea and now you'll have lots of time to spend playing with the bike's and doing what YOU want to do. Glad that you saw that side of her before you went further into the relationship

I have been using a Walmart cover on my bikes for years, $20 and works like a charm. In certain situations more expensive isn't always better
