  4. Yes, look in his other autions and it will show an auction for the '86 to '93's. Although to be quite honest I dont know that there is any difference in the sets.
  5. I'll be, I learn something new everyday
  6. Your welcome and I agree while you have it torn down that they should be replaced. These wire sets work great as I have installed about half a dozen on various 1st gens
  7. At your house....whatcha cookin ??
  8. Not to sound *****y but it's typical Yamaha crap chrome, they can make a beautiful machine then sell aftermarket items that are pure crap in workmanship. They would definitely need to be re chromed and by the sounds of the seller he doesn't do combined shipping and may be pretty inflexible to deal with, thats a definite turn off for me as a buyer. I'd have to say I'd offer $40 shipped to the door, you would easily spend upwards of $75 having the items re chromed, but thanks for posting it up, someone may want to take that plunge
  9. Ed, Here is the guy on ebay that Earl was talking about. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Venture-XVZ12-Spark-Plug-Wires-Red-XVZ1200_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5ad64bb617QQitemZ390142342679QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories I have bought several sets from him with no problems and he's pretty decent to deal with. Make sure you specify what color wires you want also.
  10. I have a Kuryakyn just like Keith's and it works awsome, has a built in rain cover too
  11. Just want to input this, not trying to be a fly in the ointment. We need to inspect and make sure that the driveshaft is correct for doing this. The G2 has a pickup magnet if I'm not mistaken for the sensor to read. This will still have to be addressed and find out if it's in fact on the driveshaft or internally in the pig (which is where I believe it is) We may still have to pull the gearing apart to install the piece from the original G2 rearend...just thinking out loud here.
  12. That could be...but I have never heard of that being done either
  13. I like for the outside of the box thinking, I wouldn't do it myself as there are many issues like no added brakes for I'm sure is 3 to 400 lbs additional weight. It seemed to turn alright, I'll bet he sell a boatload of them though.
  14. I couldn't agree more, best of luck to him.
  15. I have never heard of that either, when the lid is screwed onto the box it pushes the element down and makes a compression seal around the element.
  16. Sorry to hear of the difficulties with your leg Annie, still sending good vibes your way.
  17. Not so much, you just have to be very mindful of what your trying to do and be as neat and organized as you can. Chroming has come a long ways and I know that they can chrome plastic well these days. I'm sure others will chime in on places they have used.
  18. Nice looking bike, just not for that price
  19. I feel the love....NOT! As yes Architeuthis the giant squid, damn near as big as me
  20. It's downtown Detroit Gil.... I dont want to alarm you, but thats not a great area. Granted it's patrolled heavily there as thats the city center with the riverfront a couple of blocks away. Will this be where she is going to school at, or is she going to be living there. If you want to chat give me a call on my cell and I'll discuss things in private with you
