  13. Oh man Joe, we had him going....just when I was going to have him put me on the bank accounts
  14. James, Hard decision for sure, but I'm right with Kreg on throwing good money on bad. This isn't an easy bike to ride, you need a decent amount of experience as it can bite you very fast. Perhaps something lower to the ground, cruiser type could be a better fit. We all have our ailments and the Venture especially the 1st gen isn't forgiving on some of our body issues. I dont know about the repo portion, that just sets off bells and whistles with me the way it was presented to you. I KNOW they dont want your bike back, it's too old and they will never recoup their monies. I wish I was closer as we could shoot over there for a weekend and I know make it a whole lot better with minimal monies. Perhaps we can see if there is anyone close to you that you could bring it to or they could come over. Give it a little time and it will work out as it's supposed to.
  15. Cool Beans! Good on ya sister

  21. Well.... The monkey man made it to the house last night just before midnight. He called me and I unlocked the door, let him in, welcomed him to his new home and went right back to bed. He and Lonna will be taking care of getting him set up and whatnot. Dan and Allan, thanks again for the hospitality to him
  22. Very Nice work, I'd definitely like to see that one in person
  23. Were always hopeful for you buddy
  24. I have run my 1st gens up to the 8K mark on numerous occasions, I dont like the factory rev limiter set where it's at on the G2. Your loosing well over 1000 useable rpms on the motor, and this bike WILL still pull good @ 8K, I will be getting the Dana 3K when this '99 is back on the road.
  25. Herb, There's only a few that can know the emotions you had, good on both you and your son/brother. Your relationship with him has taken a huge step forward, enjoy your "New" son. Glad you had a good trip....Semper Fi
