Got a proposition for all of you VR folks....
Squidley replied to mini-muffin's topic in Watering Hole
Seeing this is Mini's baby, we'll see what she feels comfortable with. If she wants to take the donations thats fine, if she wants someone else to, thats cool too. She might be a bit overwhelmed at the responce. We'll chat with her this weekend and see what she likes -
Be safe my friend and if there is anything we can do for you here in Texas just call. Enjoy the time with your family

OK Folks, Many of you know the shenanigans that went on at MD this year. Kregerdoodle (formerly Kbay) did a great job of punking me and embrodered "Cupcake" on me favorite Navy cap. You can all absolutely trust me in when I say I WILL get Kreg back, and it will be epic....but here's the question for y'all. We all know that some folks have gone through name changes here. There was the time that Black Owl turned himself into 3 headed dog man along the river Styx...or something like that. That one didn't last too long and he magically turned himself back into an owl again (like clash of the titans) So my question to folks is....do I really seem like a "Cupcake" to you I mean dont get me wrong, I LOVE Cupcakes! they are fantastic. I have no problems with my new name, and some are catching on to it and referring to me as it, so should I keep it forever and ever....and yes I am strong enough to be know as "Cupcake" as long as I am on this site

Lonna and I were married at the foot of the upper Tahquamenon Falls in '97. That is a beautiful area up there and the ride will be spectacular

2- wheel removal system
Squidley replied to a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Word of wisdom here, if you do this, and I have on several Ventures, is make sure that you put a ratchet strap around the centerstand. make sure and pull it forward so that the centerstand cannot collapse backwards and thus the bike fall. It's a pretty slick idea and works in a pinch if you dont have a jack or are stranded and need to get a rim off in the middle of nowhere -
I have thick skin Mark

Elder, I know we didn't get to do the carbtune while you were here, we can make that happen @ this MD as I will be bringing my carbtune with me. I dont recall what your fluids looked like, after 4 years you might need a fluid change in the brakes and the clutch. A clutch upgrade shouldn't be necessary yet, unless the bike has pull a trailer a lot or been ridden in parades. If you want to do a clutch upgrade I would suggest getting the kit from PCW racing and be done with it. It's about a 30 minute job and works awsome http://www.pcwracing.net/ BTW Bring that crazy winger friend of yours, he should be a hoot!

Took the words right out of my mouth, there is a silver lining to that cloud, I dont think you would have fared too well on the bike. All the best to you with all the dealings.

I have always loved seeing you play with this bike, looks sick, I would love to see it in person one day myself

I understand your frustration, did the same thing with the E3's I mounted on the '89 and they took a decent amount of weight to balance. I will say also that I am not crazy as some seem to be with the E3's. I still feel like they plow more than the Avons, good or bad, I wont be installing E3's on another bike I own. I have always had great luck with the Avons and thats what I am going to stick with from now on

James, I speak for myself here, but I know the sentiments ring true for many of us on this site. You dont owe us anything, I am a firm believer in paying it forward, or passing it on, whatever phrase fits best. We give because we want to, we've all had hard times, it's how you deal with those times that defines who you are. Get yourself squared away and take care of yourself....it will all fall into place.

Dianne & James, Another option with anything that needs to be sold is Craigslist. You mentioned a bra for a Grand Prix, I have had decent luck with selling things on Craigslist, best part is it's free. You can remove the ad on ebay as long as their are no bids on it. As far as funds, I'm glad that I could steer some that way. If you need some assistance my # is in my profile, things will fall into place
