A New Problem . Bogging Down Above 45/50
Squidley replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Well...has it come in yet?? -
I agree with you, I do have a GPS, but it's a piece of electronics that can fail. I have a laminated truckers road atlas that I take with me no matter what John, Good to hear you found something, I'm with you in wanting to know the correct speed on my speedo. I'm planning on putting one on the '99 when I get it rolling again.

I have built several of the HF trailers with car toppers on them. Hazenson has one of the last ones I built and he matched the color to his Millennium. They are reasonably inexpensive and pull great. Just remember when you assemble the trailer to make sure it's square and especially the fwd part of the tongue is equal distance from both outside points of the axle. This will help it track strait and true

Yes the 12" wheel will be better as the bearings will spin slower than the 8" wheel. That being said the 8" will work just fine, you just have to keep the bearings greased with a bit more frequency.

The one thing you are good at Kregerdoodle, is digging yourself a hole. I happen to have some pics of you in a field of flowers that was taken on a certain Blue Bonnet ride.....and no your wife didn't send them to me, I had my own

How many horsepower on the second generation?
Squidley replied to casabroker's topic in General Tech Talk
Mid 90's at the crank, about mid 70's at the rear wheel, Vmax rearend would cure that problem. -
83 Backrest help
Squidley replied to hdroyer's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The 83 thru 85 have a different mounting bracket / point. The 86 to 93 uses a different bracket all together. The backrests as far as the cusion and attachment arms can be used on all the venture from 83 to 93 -
Sam, Welcome to the fold, lots of things to check, but your in the right spot. Enjoy the site and do yourself a favor and perform a complete tune up (Plugs Wires Caps & Air Filter) on the bike before you even try to start troubleshooting. We'll be here and are looking forward to some pics

Rider Down....Should have stayed with the venture
Squidley replied to Mavrick's topic in Watering Hole
Mike, Both of you walked away, any bike accident you can do that from is a good thing. Sorry to hear of your Harley, I know I would hate to have that happen to any of my bikes. Your angels were with you and you'll be around to ride another day, all the best to you both with the insurance companies. I think I would be bringing this to the attention of the state also. -
there's much worse people to try and keep up with
