  3. Nailed it!.....you gotta get over here Chief, you dont need a MD to come over and visit You know if you show up here at the house.....you'll get a cheesecake
  4. I have to say I'm with Brian on this one. I know several members, 2 right here in the Houston area, that are having issues with the HID lights they purchased from the Canadian vendor. He's been good with sending replacement parts but you get what you pay for. I know we all like to see things cheap, but your not going to get great quality with a cheap price, just isn't going to happen. I was thinking about putting an HID inj my bikes, but after seeing and hearing of the issues with them, I'll be going with a PIAA or the Silver Star Ultra
  5. Nice....Thanks Buddy!! I do love that old coot anywho
  6. Whoooo Wheeee! What a day, very 1st order of business is a HUGE thanks to Owen and Margaret for opening up their home to this motley crew. You would never have guessed it was their 1st MD hosting, they pulled it off like old pros and did a fantastic job, Thank you both ever so much! As always we had a blast, started out with about 10 of us at Luby's in Tomball for breakfast at 8am. The laughing stared there and didn't stop until late in the afternoon when folks had to start getting home. LOTS of work was done, and the nice thing is that many of the folks that just 6 months ago that didn't know squat about the Venture and how to repair them, were acting like old pro's and getting the work done. Kudo's to all of you that jumped right in and took care of business. It make me real proud to see members grow from being involved with this crew. I would love to post pics here in this post....but we forgot the camera at Owens house DOH! Ponch had his hands full with Perry's bike and gauge install. I decided to help Sky King (Mike) with a cooling fan issue on his '00 MM. Some of you may remember that we tried to get it fixed in Febuary in Rockport at Thom 440's MD when a bunch of the Houston crew went down there. Mike had purchased another cooling fan from Pinwall as he thought that the motor was burned up. Turns out it was a noise suppressor in the line that got hot and arced itself out and welded 2 solder joints together. I'm glad we checked as we would have put it together and it still wouldn't have worked. I'll get the pics up once we get the camera back. It was a great time as usual and for those who were on the fence, you truly dont know what your missing by not coming. I also believe it was a 1st as Owen mentioned to me before we left that there wasn't a single carbtune performed....thats gotta be some sort of record. Owen and Margaret, Thank you again for your hospitality and putting on an awesome MD. Lonna and I really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to the next one. Thank also to everyone that was able to make it, we love getting together with you folks
  7. It is TODAY!!!!!!  See you at Luby's in Tomball
  8. I think it was an excellent move on your part Kenny. I have repeatedly said that if I were to have that bike and heavy a trailer behind me I'd want electric brakes on it. It's not about you being a good rider it's about the cagers that are idiots....good on ya buddy!
  9. Have a great time Rick, good to see that name posting from time to time. You folks be safe and enjoy your trip, I love that area of California Hwy 299 out of Redding or 36 out of Red Bluff are awesome!

  12. That or planning to incite a riot
  13. If they will make custom sizes and all 3 cables for $25 I'd say go for it. There's no way I could or would sell them for that price. It might be an option to contact them and see if they would make a special "Kit" for the 1st gen that could be ordered directly through that website
  14. Thats cool, no better way to crank folks in Ohio and Michigan up than tell them your not going to be able to play eachother.
  15. I know how you feel Ted, I was fortunate enough to sell my '08 before I lost my job, but I have had the repo man wanting things of mine before. I wish you the best of luck in finding work, it is brutal out there with no end in sight.
