If you want to have some help changing it out, I could meet you in Bogalusa Louisianna @ Kbrans and we could change tires out there as he has a tire machine. Just mention to him that I threw him under the bus and set a date that works for you both and I'll shoot over from Houston and we can get er done!

I just want to reiterate something here, as I have recieved an email or 2 about my statements above. As always, never use what I, or anyone else says on any thread, Darkside or other, as the gospel. These are our opinions and might not be what you believe of feel. Many folks ride their bike differently than I and every bike is different with it's own inherent quirks. I know there are members that trust some of the members judgements when we say thing about a product or situation. That is somewhat flattering that folks take that much stock in what we say, but I have been wrong at times, so I dont have a perfect track record. Use your best judgement when listening to some of us, we never intentionally steer anyone in the wrong direction. If you want to try a CT, please do, you will never know how it responds to you until you try it. I'm not telling people not to try one, I want everyone to have information of both the pro's and con's of running anything on their bikes. Some folks bikes never see 75 mph, so you may never had an issue with rideability. The worst case scenario in that you will try it, not like it, and buy a MC tire to install. Your out some time on the install and about $60.

Lew, One thing in the loose rules I would like to see is members donating. I could get 40 people that aren't members of this website to donate to St. Judes and count them as a donation from me. I love a challenge, but I dont trust many folks. Thats not meant as a slam against them, but 'd like to see it on the up and up. I think it's an awsome idea, and I really hope that this gent is prepared for his challenge. Me thinks that he might have judged by the size of the group there this year of our commitment.....he might be in for quite a surprize

Obviously this is just my but I'm all in favor of not being able to post anything on the classifieds until you are a paid member. There are a couple of other websites I belong to that you can't post anything in their classifieds until have been a member for over a month and have 20 posts. I dont disagree with that, I think it keeps people from just coming on here to sell something....there are no free lunches and this irritates me a bit. Don, You are one of the fairest people I know, and I absolutely look up to you. You 99% of the time follow your heart and I know you toil about decisions like this. My opinion is to make it so you have to be a paid member to post in the classifieds

Nice news Gary, all the best to the newlyweds!

Good job David! I too have never taken a deer, been out in the woods many times, just never had the right shot. Before I got onto these touring bikes I was in the woods a lot, love being out there, kind of my church if you know what I mean. One of these days I'll get back into it when I have the time and money. I always had to choose between getting the last ride in of the season on the bike or going out hunting....I guess you know what I did with that time

I am using Gunboats '99 with a CT on the rear while my car is being fixed and I find the same thing as you have stated. I have probably better than 2500 miles riding Don's bike over the last year and I have found on the slab that above 80 I am getting the slow oscillating wobble. It can be very unnerving and I can say that I wont be installing a CT on my '99 when I am finished redoing it.

What happened to the trailer hitch ad in the classifieds????
Squidley replied to stvmaier's topic in Watering Hole
It might be Hilliss, but I'm not positive. I will, from time to time, purge the classifieds of all the sold items to free up space. If said member has more to sell they will surely repost one up in the classifieds.- 9 replies

Thats awesome news my friend! I know all about the not working thing. I may crab a a bit about the hours I'm putting in now, but I am grateful to be working and actually have a little money in the bank. All the best with the new position and to Margaret for being able to retire

Mike, As you mentioned, have him disassemble the unit again, he probably didn't stab the shaft into the universal yoke. I imagine it is probably similar to what we have on the Venture.
