  2. Kind of a cool place isn't it David Karma is a good thing and you have reaped what you have sown
  3. There are quite a few members that run the Silverstars, both the regular and the Ultras. They are a decent bulb, but pricey, I just replace a set of Silverstars in my wife's SUV as she had a bulb burn out before we moved down to Texas last year. I was disappointed to say the least that we only got about 16 months out of the bulb as one went out 2 days ago and I replaced it with a set of the Ultras. I also had a Silverstar on one of my '99's and it went out within a month. Autozone replaced it, but I wasn't impressed. It states right on the package that they dont have a long life expectancy. I think if I were to do it all over again I wouldn't go with a Silverstar. I will probably order a pair of PIAA's to replace the Ultras I just installed and sell them outright. Some will come on here and say they are the best thing since sliced bread, but I'm not one of them. The light output is ok, but I have seen the PIAA's and they were brighter in my estimation.
  4. Our pleasure my friend! Sucks that you had to turn right back out again, but being home for Thanksgiving will be nice. Lots of love to Shari, 1 for not being able to see us and 2 for having to put up with you! Looking forward next time you make it back down to the Republic of TEXAS!
  5. Folks, Not to get carried away here, I know many of us are VERY PASSIONATE about our political and firearm views. I or any of the other Moderators dont want to see this one head south. I have very strong opinions on gun control and politics, but I dont express them here. Lets not turn this into an all out rant, I know we can all agree that things aren't good.
  6. Cool Beans!!
  7. I did see that thread, but wanted to know if it was a different company. Gunboat just installed a set on his '99, I haven't had a chance to swing a leg ovwer his and see what they are like in the dark

  12. None other that Driver Dan!!! (IH Truck Guy) Seems that Dan had a load that was heading to Beaumont TEXAS for a Monday delivery. He texted me on Friday and we ended up meeting him in Liberty for supper at Chili's and were able to gab and eat for about 3 hours. He showed up in his Barney Mobile, nice Freightliner funny color Now let me tell you folks that haven't met Dan, or his wife Shari something. If you get the opportunity to meet them both or even just Dan....do so. We had them over to the house in Michigan for a M&E and laughed until 3am about some of their misadventures. Anyone that was at the '09 Freebird maintenance Day or the '08 Kitchener Rally will attest to this. It was awesome being able to see Dan again, unfortunately Shari was still up in Wisconsin, but we did get to talk with her on the phone after Dan took our pic and texted it to her. 1st words on her text back was "You Suck!" you get to see them and I dont It was great spend a little time with Dan and I'm glad we got the opportunity to do so. Thanks for meeting us for supper Buddy, we'll have to try and do it again soon

  21. James, Sad news to hear my friend, but everything in life has a purpose. Taking one's life may not seem to have a valid message in it, but can turn perspectives. I'm not as old as you folks (although I do feel a lot older on some days) but I lost one of my lifelong friends of my youth when we were both 18. He too decided that life wasn't worth living and took his life. To this day I never understood why he did it, he was a good looking fella, very smart, strait A student and liked. As others have mentioned, there are some of us that have flirted with taking our own lives. I have too years back, but decided against it. Friends come and go, it's important that we never give up on ourselves. You have the # and I'm always happy to hear your voice, life will get better, there are many more roads to concur....all the best.
