  10. Yeah....we have that "S" word down here too....Sunshine, oh sorry you northerners are talking another "S" word....my bad
  11. If you leave now Dan, you can be here by Thursday Can't make it any more of an invite than that we'll have a spot set at the table for you
  12. If your diggin it, thats all that counts, personally I think you need to embelish the 2 tone a bit more. It seems to me to blend and get lost with all that gray on the front fairing. This is just my observation and some here will gladly attest that they think I'm full of BS
  13. Just want to put out also that showing up can be a last minute deal. You dont have to let us know, there will be plenty of food and the door, as always, is open. If plans fall through for anyone with their dinner date....just show up and we'll take care of the rest
  14. Yeah...the Kitchen Ninja knows Janets always welcome at the house, your welcome to drive here there We have a spare room for you, although you might have an issue getting Rose to let you back in the house when you return Looking forward to seeing you and Mary again my friend!
  15. Congrats Jim! The Goldwing is a fine machine and hope you get many miles out of it. Yamaha will loose more and more touring riders as they dont seem to care about upgrading....their loss. As far as us here, you know your more than welcome on whatever you show up on
  16. Just want to give out an offer to any of our members (be it here in Texas or any other place close by) that may not have plans for Thanksgiving. Lonna is like a Ninja in the kitchen, she loves to cook the big holiday meals, actually gets put out a bit when she can't do it We have been very blessed this year with work and monies coming in. We have a ham and I will be deep frying a turkey and the fixins will come along for the ride. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come over, I know there will be enough food to feed an army. I very sincerely extend this offer to come to our home and share in Thanksgiving with us. PM me if your interested and I can send you an address
  17. Eck....Your so my hero!
  18. This should be an interesting build to see, could you humor us as you go along with it and post the progression
  19. I like it, very art deco looking, but I dont think it's a motorcycle. It looks like you set in it, and unless it has holes in the floor area, you couldn't set your feet on the ground to hold it up
  20. Phill, You have a wonderful talent there, great slideshow
  21. Cliff, Lots of good advise mentioned here, I'll second the tire pressures. Run your rear at just about max on the sidewall indication. Some tire mfgrs are different with their max pressures, Avon Venoms are 50 lb tires while Dunlops are 40 lb tires. I usually ran mine at max on the rear and about 36 on the front. Another thing to look at is your shock pressures, I'm a big guy 5'11" and 280 lbs, so I have a lot of ballast I would run my suspension a bit stiffer, about 55 lbs in the rear shock on the #3 damper setting. The front I would run at about 14 lbs. Seeing it's all new to you, did it come with detailed maintenance records? Another thought is the front fork oil, how long has it been in there? The fork brace, is it nice and tight. The rear swing arm pivot bushings where the swingarm connects to the frame, are the tightened properly? There are a lot of different things it could be, considering it's a 19 year old bike. Try the tire pressures and suspension setting 1st and if you still have issues come back on and we'll help you figure it out. Welcome to the club Shipmate, from another Uncle Sam yacht club member
  22. I'm right with Steve here dont waste money on getting a premix as your paying twice as much. Any good name brand antifreeze will do, just dont get the orange dexcool type, green is the one
  23. Congrats to the newlyweds and your new empty nest status...let the trips begin!
  24. Happy Birthday My Friend!!!!
  25. Your an observant one there Bob The Shovel is idle right now. Still a bit more to do, but not a lot of time right now to do it. Monkey Boy is needing some help before his surgery and were trying to get things squared away with him 1st. Couple of weeks I'm thinking...and you were spot on with your advise about the stator, gotta do a bit of shimming, Thanks again Buddy
