  1. Happy New Year Fishman!
  2. Happy Birthday Cindy!!!
  3. Rick, The only responce I have for you is BE PREPARED you will have members come out of the woodwork! Ask Giga Whiskey what happened when he hosted a MD BBQ at his place in North Texas I will mention this also, put out a tip jar. I know a lot of folks dont like to do that, but I make it a point if we go to someones house thats hosting a get together I throw some greenbacks in. Make it a pot luck too, bring a dish to pass and perhaps you supply the main course meat. Try not to over engineer it, set a date and a Time/Place and let it run it's course. Trust me on that one....BTW when are we coming over??
  4. Now thats funny innocent...yeah right
  5. Not to worry Annie, I may just have the '79 Electra Glide at MD and/or Cody....you wont be the only H/D
  6. Happy Birthday Paul!!
  7. About the only shows I really watch on TV are Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, and Criminal Minds. I do like the idea of the hockey players and figure skaters though.
  8. Happy Birthday Diane!!
  9. Mike, It's unfortunate hearing of your wifes issues, I sincerely hope they get it figured out. As far as getting rid of the RSV, it happens. I have sold a few due to extenuating circumstances and have ended up with another one at some point. take care of Momma and know that we dont care what you ride. This website surpassed being a tech forum a long time ago, this is a family of bikers who just happen to ride predominantly Yamaha Ventures. If you need anything let us know, there are many here that are a good ear. God will steer you in the direction you need to be, we'll be here regardless.
  10. Rob, Sorry to hear of your situation, but other here have sent the same sentiment that I share. Life doesn't always work how we would like, but it WILL get better. Beaumont is about 100 miles East of Lonna and myself as were just north of Houston in the Conroe area. As it is with all VR members, the door is open and your more than welcome to shoot over this way. If you need some nice riding to clear your head I know of a few roads that will cure that itch. Phone # is in the profile and if you decide to stay down here, we'll be looking forward to seeing you more often
  11. Happy Birthday Snarly Bill!!
  12. Your absolutely right there Randy and yes I did use it as I was watching the Grinch on the new TV....I like the Grinch, keeps the dark thoughts in my mind coming BTW....Thanks Buddy!
  13. When I talked with Kevin and he said he had a few Elves sleep over I knew something was up. He spilled the beans and I am happy to see that they surprised Shari and the kids. Nice Christmas present to be sure...glad you all had a good time
  14. Oh man that is a scary thought
  15. Merry Christmas to you and Don, hoping we can catch up with you folks again soon
  16. Merry Christmas Fishman!
  17. Barry, Congratulations on becoming a father! Life is a wondrous thing and it's good to hear that your wife delivered a healthy boy. I know all too well about the lord watching over us, some here know, but January 2 2008 my wife and I had a rear tire blow out West of Baton Rouge on I10 doing 75 mph. We walked away with minimal damage to ourselves, but a bike that looked like a pretzel. We obviously still have some work to do on the planet as we shouldn't have survived that accident. Merry Christmas to you and your family
  18. We get so much more living the reason for the season. People who have been able to do this know the feeling of the unconditional love that it brings to both the ones giving and the ones receiving. It still puts me in awe when folks that have nothing to give, receive, and it changes their lives. This is better than any gift I have ever received and I will continue to do it until I no longer can.....good on you folks too for all you do
  19. Thank you Lewis, may you and Charlene have a great Christmas and new year.
  20. Lonna and I dont usually buy for the family or each other. This year we decided to buy ourselves a new TV as we have been looking for one and ended up buying a Vizio 47" LCD. As we try to do, and have for the last few years, we adopted a family and sent them monies to help them along this Christmas season. Just being able to have a little money in the bank and help those in need is a far better Christmas gift we can give ourselves then buying each other stuff
  21. On this day, as I have for many years in the past, I'm wishing you, Jesus, a Happy Birthday. You, speaking for myself, have brought me many things to be thankful for. Walking away from an accident almost 3 years ago with my wife was one of the many blessings you bestowed upon me....and I Thank You. You have also made it possible in my life to have all my friends here. Many of them I love as much as life, and you continue to watch over us and keep us safe. While we celebrate your birth, and look for the goodness in mankind. I want to thank you for all the gifts you give myself and all of us. Just the fact that we are a family here, is more payment than I could ever hope for. To all my friends here, and you know who you are, Thank you for being a part of my life.....and Merry Christmas to all of you. May the spirit always be with you through out the coming year.....Amen
  22. Good Thinking Herb!
  23. Why Yes....Yes I do, silver and black, who wants what color?
  24. Keep it up you OLD bird Annie....were excited to have you both over here and we'll find you at some point along your adventure....maybe more BTW we WILL have a M&E here in Texas for you 2
  25. Besides the battery possibly being bad, I would check where the ground wire is attached to the frame and make sure it's spotless. Let me also say that just because the battery is new, doesn't mean it's good. I have seen a few times where brand new batteries puked within a month or 2. Something else to look at it your ignition switch, the G2 Ventures in the early years are notorious for switches going bad, Wings could be the same way....
