  1. Looking forward to seeing the pics Tom
  2. Neil, I just looked up the Ethanediol and it doesn't give any difference between it and Ethelene Glycol. Any green type automotive antifreeze will work, you just dont want to use the GM type Dexcool as it's not compaable with the seals and o rings on the RSV. I'm sure some of our chemists will come on with more info than I am able to find.
  3. Ben, Words always seem inadequate at times like these, we have all lost loved ones, but it's never easy to let them go. Your Father fought a heroic battle, which unfortunately did not turn out like your family wanted it to. I think the one thing I would say is to take the time you had with him in the end and cherish that. I'm sure there were conversations that helped to complete the time you and he had left. As always, you and your family are in our thoughts my friend, lean on us should you need to, knowing that we are here for whatever you need....all the best.
  4. Nice thinking outside the box, for a solo rider that is very nice. Where did you end up hiding the CB box as I see you still have both antennas?
  5. All the best to you both Joe
  6. Annie....fill us in will ya kiddo
  7. Must be my Manly Physique
  8. I dont like the 404's at all, but tires preferences are like....well you know. I am a fan of Avon Venoms, some aren't, but I have had great luck with all the sets of Avons I have owned. The E3 Dunlop, and yes I have had a set on my '89 VR were ok, took a bit of getting used to but performed reasonably well. Best thing I can tell you is do what I have done for all the years I have rode Ventures, try them all out and judge for yourself.
  9. Dan...I'm at an age where if I wanted to go fast I would have a bike for that. I do so much love busting your chops though
  10. It's unfortunate to hear all this James, just remember to focus on 1 thing at a time. If you try to tackle it all at once you will overwhelm yourself and get discouraged. We'll keep you in our thoughts my friend....all the best to you.
  11. You wanna go fast, buy an FJR or a Busa
  12. It's a tough call as to what actually let go in the case. Where it's located at it could be the transmission gears. I looked it over as best I could with the inspection mirror, but that is the only tell tale sign I saw. I was the one to mention to him not to touch it, let the dealer take it apart and come up with a diagnosis. We definitely dont want him having any hard time by them saying you screwed around with it. I'll be interested to find out what happened and mentioned to Dave to ask to see the engine once it's apart if they tear it down there at the dealership.
  13. So Sorry for my tardiness of getting a pic up Mini....but as stated here she is. Let me tell you folks something, not only does she look like Mini, but has that hell fire attitude also! Oh BTW Duke, she said that she is moving back to Florida in a couple of years as soon as her kid graduates. I might give you folks over there a Christmas gift and tell her about the M&E's y'all have
  14. Happy Birthday My Friend!!!
  15. I would normally agree with you folks about 37 being riding weather. I have to say after the rain and the wind blowing about 20+ mph....I was a Popsicle! But thats ok I knew I would acclimate at some point and I still was riding in mid January...so I'll try not to whine so much
  16. Only a flight away Bobby....I'll pick you up at the airport!
  17. Hey Boomer, We totally understand the circumstances of why you couldn't be in Texas this weekend, and we are with you and your gals family with their loss. That being said, we know how much you like your cheesecake, so we wanted to send you a flavorless sampling of the cheesecake we had in your honor....it was Cherry
  18. Just a quick shout to those following the travels of our own Wes 0778. I met him in Dayton TX and rode with him back to our house, as he was coming from Sulphur LA after spending the night with BoomerCPO. Walt gets the Brass Cahonies award as he rode through some lousy weather heading West. The temperature just kept dropping and by the time we got to our house it was 37 degrees and windy as hell the whole time. I was frozen from riding the 80 miles there and back, and you all know how well insulated I am
  19. Enjoy the new bike Glenn, and it's good to hear that you'll stick around. Looking forward to seeing the pics of the new scoot
