Sorry to hear of her passing brother, a good long life though, and lots of memories. Y'all are in our prayers my friend.

Just bumping this back up top, come on out and join us. If you have any questions PM me.

Todd, As we have always said before, post it and they will come. Pick a day, pick a place to eat, pick a time, those who can show will. It is truly that easy, if 1 other person shows up, it's a success. When we were living in Michigan this is exactly how we did it and you would be amazed at how many people showed up, plenty from neighboring states and countries.

It's been a while since we have had a M&E here in the Houston area, so we're about to change that right now. As many here know, Alan and Annie are gallivanting around the USA again and they will be here in the Houston area next weekend. So I would love for any of the Houstonites that are free next Saturday to come meet us at the Rudy's in Spring just south of FM2920 and the North bound I45 feeder https://www.google.com/…/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x3642df1d87d0… Let's call it lunch at noon until whenever.

Put a little heat on the center area where it's on the output shaft with a little pressure from a puller. Keep the center retaining bolt in while doing this as I have watched the flywheel jump completely off before. I have also let them set overnight with pressure on them and in the morning that have popped.

83 venture vs royal
Squidley replied to Matt_P's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Just go ahead and use any standard 10 weight fork oil, just remember that you will be putting less oil in the tubes as the progressives take up more volume in the tubes due to the spring diameter...0.02 -
Damn sister, send good vibes your way. Keep us updated and let us know what we can do to help y'all.

Help! headlight and fairing change
Squidley replied to teck143's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Tim, You would have to omit all the electronic that are buried in the front. I have never heard of anyone wanting to try and do what your looking to. If you need parts I have parted out an 06 RSV, shoot me a PM if your interested in trying to replace parts. -
It looks good brother, the Nighthawk is a great bike, I have had 3 of them. Now for you and him to put some wind in your faces together.

Do not be afraid, for I bring you good tidings

Thank you all -
Two thousand fifteen years ago, you were born unto us. Thirty three years later, you were killed and died to save ALL of us from our sins. On November 29th, I accepted you in my life for what you did for me. Today is your Birthday, and I want to wish you just that, a Happy Birthday. For without your birth, this day would just be December 25th, no hoopla, no fanfare, just another day. Thank you for being born, for coming to us with the ultimate gift....you. For all my brothers and sisters out there, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. Remember the single reason we celebrate this day, the birth of our savior. So let us be happy about that, have a smidge more patience with people. Let the people close to you know that you love them, and perhaps some of the people you don't know. You all have great purpose in my life, and I am happy to call you my friends...God Bless all of us.

Some folks that follow us through Facebook know of the accident we had on Saturday while traveling to the Texas M&E with Annie & Al. Just figured I'd come on and give you a brief note for those who didn't know. At 10:30am Lonna, myself, daughter Heather and husband Rob were traveling along the S I45 feeder fixing to head West on FM1960 (Houstonites will know exactly what were talking about) We were in the right turning lane to head West on 1960 and out of nowhere there is suddenly a car in front of me. I had zero recourse and just barely was able to get into the brakes, then collided with the car. The kids were behind us on their bike and they both watched it happen. 19yo girl came across 3 lanes and never even saw us. I was able to keep the bike up and never fell, fortunate to be able to deflect into a gas station entrance. We were unhurt, albeit Lonna being severely shaken up. The bike took a huge hit, front fairing, lower left fairing both inner and outer, crash bar, driving light bracket and light on left side, windshield and lower deflector are all in need of replacement. I'm figuring roughly $3K to $3500 in repairs. Bike is still ridable, although ugly. Had to restrain my hound of hell daughter as she was ready to pummel this little girl. Info exchanged, cops appeased, insurance company called, and a good meat and potatoes conversation with her dad. I am upset, but very thankful as the outcome could have been way worse. Had to give the youngun a couple of consoling hugs as she was as nervous as you would think she could have been looking at 5' 11" 275 lb biker after crashing into his beautiful bike. Life is good, I believe a good life lesson learned by this young gal and now just need to get Leroy fixed back up and pretty again. For all that contacted us, Thank you so much for your concern, we will live to ride again.

My take on the Metzlers is that I will NEVER own another set again. I did have a set on my 1st '99 and as mentioned by other they performed well. What I have seen personally is precisely what had happened to Puc, delamination of the tire and chunks flying off, not just on 1 tire but on several tires of people I ride with and who are competent with keeping tires properly inflated. I have talked with a few who have gotten the blow off by Metzler, saying it was their fault. Guess what, wrong answer, Metzler will never see a dime of my money or anyone else I can talk with about their product 0.02

GRRR! Car troubles....ate up about 3 hours of my last day of vacation!
Squidley replied to pbjman's topic in Watering Hole
Same thing, 4.3 was a 350 minus 2 cylinders, the 2 bolts gave it away, GM had just 2 for a very long time. Glad it was something stupid and easy to fix, how y'all doing up there in Algonac? -
Lots of great memories there my friend, enjoy it!
