  1. Have a great trip and time Mr. Ambassador!
  2. All the best to all of you, I have a feeling the daughter will be good. You folks have a safe trip and enjoy yourself. Oh and Tom, you are an ambassador of the United States of America, dont do anything that will tarnish our reputation....especially VRO!
  3. We'd send them out for a padeye puller, man they would be gone all day as all the other Chiefs sent them to different squadrons to try and find it!
  4. Good to see you on the forum again my friend, you'll always be the ambassador to me. Nice car too, no worries about 4 wheels instead of 2, we want you around no matter what it takes. Have fun with it and hope to see you again soon
  5. I have serious doubts that it could be done with an RSV like that. The H/D's have a great low center of gravity and handle VERY well at slower speeds....that was VERY impressive!
  6. Cabin is gone, Thanks for your interest.
  7. Yeah you let the clutch out and it goes ZZZZZZZZZZZ Dammit!
  8. Thanks for coming on and introducing yourself Spencer. You'll find that you will get absolutely unbiased responces here, as seen above We appreciate you being our go to guy and wish you the best of luck with the shilds here
  9. Happy Belated Birthday.....you BIG EEGIT!!
  10. The boost sensor is under the battery box area, on the left side of the bike (when sitting on it) right next to the TCI. You can check it while it's in position as it sucks to get it out. It operates off #2 cylinders vacuum (left front) and electronically tells the TCI to advance the timing when throttle is applied due to the vacuum fluxuation. You can take the hose off the carb intake and try to pull a vacuum on it with a mighty vac. If it holds vacuum then that portion of it is working, if it wont hold a vac it's absolutely bad. I just replaced one on my '86 although I didn't have the issue you are having as mine would still ramp up to redline without the boost sensor working
  11. All the best to you John, just take it easy and get your strength back. Dont risk screwing something up because you "Think" you can do something.
  12. OK Folks, I just talked with Larry at the campground, we have a cabin reserved from the 25th thru the 28th so 4 nights. What we can do is simply swap this room into whoevers name wants this cabin. For anybody interested get ahold of me and and we'll make the switchover.
  13. I have used these in the past http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/3809/Dually-ISO-Pegs-without-Adapters http://www.jcwhitney.com/custom-mount-elliptical-rail-foot-pegs/p2002576.jcwx?filterid=c14701o40j3 The 2nd one from JC Whitney are good quality and for the price are very hard to beat.
  14. It is some good stuff, I would run it for perhaps 6 more tanks and then you'll be fine as long as you run the bike with some sort of regularity. Your basically just cleaning out all the old fuel deposits with the Seafoam....enjoy your ride
  15. Congratulations to all of you, grandchildren are the reward for now killing your kids when they were younger
  16. Thanks Gary, I'll check and see if they have anymore. I did look on ebay 1st but figured if someone had one laying around I could just as easily put some cash in their pocket
  17. Yes and no in that order, just posted a thread about the room I have reserved at the Ponderosa to see if someone wants it before I cancell it
  18. Unfortunately Lonna and I aren't going to be able to make the International in Cody. Way back when last year I reserved a room there in the hopes that we would be there. I haven't cancelled this reservation yet, but wanted to offer it up to any of our members if they want to have the room. Anyone interested PM me or post on this thread and I'll make sure that when I cancell that we get your name in there. This is a 1st come 1st serve deal, so the 1 responce I get is the one that will get it. If you want to call me my cell is in my profile.
  19. Paul, Your accident was pretty much identical to the one my wife and I went through on January 2 2008. We were in Louisianna on I10 just west of Baton Rouge when my rear tire blew out on one of those reflectors in the road, just zippered the sidewall of the tire open at 75 mph. My back was jacked up for a couple of months and Lonna had a broken collarbone. Way no fun, I dont think I got the speed down too much, probably 60 mph before I couldn't control the bike anymore. I, like you, have a firm belief that God was right there with us, or atleast one of his angels because I still find it hard to believe we walked away from that accident. All the best to you folks and I wish you speedy healing.
  20. Hey Folks, Just wanted to post up and see if anyone has a decent used windshield for a 1st gen. Perhaps one that was taken off when it was upgraded to a clearview or such. It has to be in good shape, I dont want something all scratched up or cut down, I'm pretty picky on looking through a shield f anyone has a good one laying around that they want to get rid of I'd like to chat with you...Thanks.
  21. Nice job! That looks really good, and those are fun to ride, I dont care who you are
  22. You dont owe anything, glad that it wasn't worse. Jack Wagon.....I love that word
  23. Glad to hear you made it home in 1 piece, we went outside and you were gone like the wind. Good to hear that you felt the carb sync helped out, not just have to lower the bike a bit
  24. I would check for spark on #3 cylinder when cold, and see if it kicks in after it's warmed up. It's not uncommon for the G2's to have bad coils, I know of several that have been replaced under warranty
  25. You guys crack me up, I'm just gonna shoot it, just remember, never underestimate your adversary In all seriousness, it is a tragedy but one that possibly could have been avoided. If you ever see a mother and cubs go the other way fast, that is real life out there and will smack you into the reality of the world in a heartbeat .
