Seaking... He does have a dealer in Canada. I will find out who and where when he gets back to his office, and can look it up.
-
He said you bought it for your other bike. The turntable won't work for the Venture, unless you shim it up to where the table only catches the frame. That would work, but if I were you, I would use the tie down points, and strap it down also. When I talk to him again, I'll find out more about the adapter for the Venture.

I'll be talking to the owner tonight, and I'll see what's required. I have my bike for him to take measurements from now, so we will get something worked out. He is leaving for Daytona tomorrow.

No, but I'll see what I can do.

Wish the half helmet sets were that price. We need to find a pair at a good price. I've never used intercom before. Will be interesting.

I am all for it. We have them at work, for our high volume oil storage areas and where the barges offload the oil. It's a very limited access area. If it makes my workplace more secure, and may prevent an attack, then so be it.

Well, we made it home from Oklahoma with the RSV. Trip was 680 miles. I rode the first 20 miles to where the trailer was, and as soon as we got there, it started raining, and a pretty good fog set in. Good thing I had reserved the trailer just in case. As soon as we got into clear weather, I had to pull in and get that road grime off the bike real quick. It was looking pretty nasty. Will spend a few hours tomorrow cleaning it back up. Glad to have it home.

I'll take good care of it, I promise. I am so glad we got it all worked out. It was weird how this worked out. You had a bike for sale, 700 miles away, and I just happened to be coming out here anyway, to see my son graduate. What are the odds? I guess it was meant to be...lol On a mission? lmao He was under 'deep cover' I'll bet....lol BTW, he freaked out over the Venture. He loves it. See ya this spring.

To check the ball joints, jack it up until the front wheel is about 6 inches off the ground. Then take a big bar and put it under the tire from the outside, going inside. Use the bar as a lever, as if you were trying to lift the tire some more. wiggle the bar up and down slowly, while watching for play in the ball joints. If it's like my F150, the lowers aren't too bad. You just need to borrow a ball joint press from auto zone if you don't have one. On mine, you have to replace the whole upper control arm, instead of the upper ball joint. If the joints are ok, then you need to see if an alignment shop can adjust the camber.

We both love it!! We'll be heading out for home in the morning. Now we need some nice weather!!

She looks peaceful. Probably worn out...lol

:happy34:I also know. Congrats.

Thanks for the replies. I reserved a Uhaul 5x9 ramp trailer like the one pictured above. Gonna load it up in the morning, and head home. Might have to ride it at least part way home......lol
-
I hauled my 1st gen home in the 4'x8' bed of my F-150, and the tailgate wouldn't shut. I think the RSV is longer than the 1st gen.
-
Thank you SilvrT!!
-
Not broke, need to haul it home 700 miles. Weather isn't the greatest, so I may trailer it. Peace of mind.
-
Will my RSV fit in a 5'x9' U-haul ramp trailer? They don't have any of the motorcycle trailers available here. Anyone used one?
-
Why take a nap and waste all that Vicodin? I had one pulled in December, rather than suffer through the 3 visits it would have taken to have a root canal.
-
Would make a nice project. With the flat black paint and the ignition broke, I would match the title up with the vin on the frame for sure. Those are two major signs of a stolen bike. Hopefully it's all on the up and up. Good luck!!

I met Buddy and my new RSV today, and it was love at first sight(the RSV, not Buddy...lol). Buddy is a great guy. I'll be bringing home my new scoot Saturday. Sure was a long drive here though. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Oklahoma009.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Oklahoma006.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Oklahoma003.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/0217101617.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/0217101618.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/0217101618a.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/NewBike.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Oklahoma008.jpg :dancefool::dancefool::dancefool::dancefool:

It's worth alot more than you paid for it. My used trailer cost me $2000.00, and that was after I talked him down. When you get it fixed up, it should be worth a nice chunk.
-
Or....I could do the EXPERIMENTING on yours, and once all the kinks are worked out, then I could do mine.
