Harbor Freight, Craftsman and Pepboys all make inexpensive lifts, but they have no where near the stability of the Pitbull. I will have pics up soon, and maybe a video of me lifting my bike, and then getting up on the seat and jumping up and down....with no straps or tiedowns at all. For me, safety of me and the bike are much more important. I am working on helping them perfect the turntable for the Venture, and I am also going to work on a discount for VR members.

The part numbers are different in the Star catalog.

I finally got my wiring harness and bracket today from Carbon One. The whole Stebel install went slick as snot, and I was bolting my seat back on in under 20 minutes. Thanks goes out to Carbon One for the ease of installation. I highly recommend his products!!

Thanks for the replies. I want to keep it handy, such as the bars or fairing area. I am installing my Ponch gauge set where the cassette goes, this weekend, so that idea is out.

I know where the existing power outlets are, and I want to keep them. I want to add an additional, easy to reach outlet for cigarette lighter. Thinking of the Kuryakyn handlebar mount.

I would think the GPS units could be trackable, since the satellites know where they are at all times. I'll bet they are, and if pushed, could be a good way to retrieve them, and find the theives.

I would like to keep the existing power outlet, and add a cigarette lighter. I have looked at several, but wondered if there were any with pics of installed units. Thanks.

Does anyone have a pic of where they might have a cigarette lighter mounted on their RSV? I want to add one that is easily accessible while riding. I have seen a pic of the Kuryakyn lighter while searching on here. I would like to see some installed, to give me some ideas.

Good luck on the surgery. It's a good thing you're getting it done early on, so you don't miss MD and Int'l rally.

That hydraulic jack, and the way it mounts is similar to the Pitbull setup. If you can't get it worked out, I'm sure they would sell you a jack. Their # is 1-888-299-9325. Tell them Patrick sent ya. First, you might try purging any air from the jack. Watch the video on the right in this link. He shows how to do it. http://pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com/facts.html

Nice setup! So, I guess this means YOU WILL be able to make it to MD then, right?

This is very good reading, whether you are religious or not. I highly recommend. I bought it from Amazon.com http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/God_is_not_great.jpg

I-40 is in AWFUL shape in Oklahoma and Arkansas right now. I mean it's bad. I just came thru there on my way back from Oklahoma. The road is one of the worst I've been on in a while. It's all great in Tennessee though.

I'm in.

RandyR....are you serious? C'mon, think about it.

Remember, the pump only runs momentarily, until you are primed. It can be hard to catch it running sometimes. I would disconnect the line at the fuel filter, run the line into a jug, and then turn the key on, and see that the pump is pumping. Since there will be no backpressure on it, it should continue to run. If it still doesn't run, then check the voltage. It could be a fuse, or (more common), the relay has failed.

Makes the get-offs so much cleaner too. BTW...what do you mean by "dissipated"?
