Take a pic of the pipes and post them here. Seeing them might help identify them. I have Road King pipes on mine, and no jetting was necessary.

Inexpensive rear shock
Monty replied to remmertb's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The reason I asked for a pic, is I stopped in up at Pitbull today, and they had two of these hanging on the wall for $100 each. They sell a lot of good, used parts. I know some people here like to do some modifying and such, so I snapped a pic of one. I am sure I could get them cheaper if someone was interested. I didn't take any measurements or anything, just a pic. I take it they're probably off of a Harley. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/0317101646a.jpg- 26 replies

It is. The bike is just beautiful. My Dad is a 100% disabled Veteran, diagnosed with a bunch of stuff they say was caused by Agent Orange. He has heart problems, diabetes, leg problems, he has something like Parkinson's, where he shakes alot, and his mind is starting to slip. As much as he loves to ride, it's just not safe to do so anymore, so he decided to let it go. The bike has been pampered, and is in really great shape.

No, it's not me. I hope I never have to do this. My Dad has too many health problems, and he just can't ride safely anymore, so I have posted his Hardley Road King in the classifieds. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/2672 PM me if interested.

Wardens will just never understand. They think that when you buy a bike, you should sell the old one. What kind of logic is that?

Are you sure you don't have a playing card and a clothespin in the spokes? That's what Yammer Dan does to make his sound better. Check it with the 2x4, as mentioned. Also, remove the rear caliper, and try it, to see if it goes away. If it's the rotor, that should tell you right away. Did you get the tire seated good ALL of the way around the rim? If not, it could make it seem out of round. Check it. Sounds like it could be bearings, but it didn't do it before, did it? If it was fine before, then it must be something you did. -

I would just use the Rotella 15W40. The synthetic could make it start leaking. -

OK. The smooth set would be fine with me.

It says each. Renne, let me see what I can come up with. b2dad has a pair on his, so maybe I can talk him into letting me measure them.

I might be interested. Any way you could come up with a set of carb covers like these? I'd like to have a set, but they are $92 from Star. Should be no problem for you. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Bf-sHJCGkKGrHqIOKiwEryYkgvmZBLDZvGc.jpg

If it's not too bad, a 10mm line wrench might work. If it's too bad, then vice grips, or a pair of the channel lock brand blue channel locks, with the curved grip will have to do the trick. I have the above mentioned channel lock pliers, and they are worth their weight in gold.

Glad to hear she's feeling better. I can't help ya if she reads your post, though. You are on your own with that. I know better than to get in the way.
