  1. Just the flexible ducts that cross-tie the two halves of the house together.
  2. After about 2 years, my compressor locked up, so I trashed the split unit and went with a regular 4 ton Heat Pump unit. I bought it through my local electric utility thru a TVA energy program. The utility company has someone come out and install it, then you make a small payment each month, which is just added to your electricity bill. No money needed up front. Might be worth looking into, to see if your utility company has a similar program. "The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Energy Right Heat Pump Plan promotes the installation of high efficiency heat pumps in homes and small businesses. Through a third-party lender, TVA provides ten-year financing for residential heat pumps with repayment through the customer’s electric bill to their local power distributors. TVA Energy Right is an umbrella program, and the loans are independently administered by 143 separate power companies served by TVA, each of which runs the program, specifying their own terms. 2008 installations totaled 8,749. Installation, performance, and weatherization standards have been established to ensure the comfort of the customer and the proper operation of the system. A Quality Contractor Network has been established for maintaining high installation standards. TVA also pays the distributor $175 for each high efficiency installation. To find out who is participating, click here. For more detailed information for participating contractors and utilities, click here. Customers should contact their local utilities to see what programs are offered."
  3. salute!!
  4. Probably related to the vibration you had BEFORE you bought the trailer. I think they could be related.

    Now I understand

LOL.... impressive that he could do that with a straight face. I couldn't have gotten thru it without cracking up.
  6. The U-Haul motorcycle trailer I rented when I brought mine home was plenty big enough. It was $120, and you get to keep the trailer for like 4 days. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IMG_3797.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IMG_3796.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IMG_3800.jpg
  7. I leave mine on reserve all of the time, and both my fuel light and fuel trip meter work. If yours didn't, you may have something hosed up.
  8. C'mon man, she deserves for you to at least get her name right......It's Raquel Welch....and I always said she could have my baby.
  9. When I had my '83, and since I was using resistor plugs, I took out the resistors and replaced them with small pieces of copper wire with the same length and diameter. The bike started up and ran soo much better after that. There was no sense in having double the resistance.
  10. Won't work. He can't get the machine to recognize the cd drive. Like said, you need more boot options.
  11. I wonder if there would be any advantage in having Hannigan rake the front end of a normal RSV, no trike or sidecar. I wonder how it would handle?
  12. It doesn't matter whether or not the cd-rom is "installed" or not. Upon booting, a generic driver will run, making it possible to boot with the drive.
  13. I live by the Tennessee River....which flows North.

    WTF

Does it have anything with the Guard troops being dispatched to the border?

    WTF

    ???
  16. Just remember, I had nothing to do with it....wasn't my idea.
  17. Argue all you want via PM. It's nobody's business, and not against the rules if it's in "private". Just don't threaten to kill each other.
  18. It sure sounds like Don owes Mini some payback, and she is trying to play nice beforehand, so he won't get even. Am I correct in my assumption?
  19. We had a great time. Looking forward to the next one. I hope the county paves the road before the next one.
  20. The funny thing is, mine does it around certain power lines, unless my squelch is set at about 18. But........I work at a power plant, and we have LOTS of 500kv and 161kv power lines all over the place, and it never does it at all at work. I even parked it about 20 feet away from one of my generators the other day, and didn't hear it. (it was storming, so I pulled it inside the turbine room...shhh).

Can't take it. I've heard that at too many funerals, and it's just too hard.
  22. So THAT'S who Eck was talking to on the phone when we all rode up. Glad she's doing ok. We had a great dinner.(some of us had frog legs, Big Tom) I got to Meet Carbon One and Joyce, Snarley Bill and Linda, and got to see Eck and Connie again. We ate dinner and then rode back to B2dad's and shot the bull for several hours. That Eck sure has lotsa stories to tell...lol. Looking forward to having a great time tomorrow. Several more are riding in, in the morning. Gonna be a great turnout. Beautiful weather too.
  23. Glad it wasn't worse. She's in our thoughts here.
  24. Angie and I are heading that way in a few, hoping to run across some of you. Where ya eatin' at?

    J&M Headsets

I bought them yesterday. I got 2 Elite headsets with lower cords for $476.00. According to the owner, the Performance series headsets are a few dollars cheaper, but they have a lot of issues with cord failures, both upper and lower. The biggest difference is the price between the P and E lower cords. The P cords are apparently made in China, and have a high failure rate. The P upper cords have an issue with the microphone cord negative side, which is a braided shield, and fails due to flexing so much. The Elite sets don't appear to have these problems, so I opted for those. Still got them at a good price. He has a pretty good discount from J&M's price. He may be coming to our International Rally as a vendor.
