Here's hoping for complete recovery, and better times. Congrats on the Grandson!

I just bought $350 worth of parts today. I wish this was posted a day earlier...lol.

I guess I am lucky. I rode/raced motocross for many years, did Karate for a few years, been in MANY fights/brawls etc... and never broke anything except for my back while in the Navy. I have pulled almost every ligament and tendon in my lower body, and tore the cartilage loose between my ribs and sternum, causing "floating ribs"(That hurt like hell). I was blind for a bit too, but it was from sitting in a tent looking at Playboys and Hustlers via a black light, when I was a teen...lol. Not a good light to read by, apparently. Been lucky in the bone department, I guess. I couldn't ride without having cruise control though...too much arthritis and tendonitis.

Be sure and let us know about the quality of the part you receive.

I can't find it for all the Lindsay Lohan crap. I see where our priorities are...not surprising.http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/51.gifhttp://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/disagree.gif

I think it has a "two up" switch as an option. When activated, the bike won't go into gear unless it feels pressure on both seats.:rotfl:

I have similar antennas on mine. I don't know what brand they are, but they say "Flex" and "diesel" at the top. I think either Buddy or Roadkill put them on.

HMMM.....sounds like someone else I know.

TX2Sturgis, Yours isn't that hot because it was made before the EPA came along and made them lean out their new engines, making them run hot. Harley's "fix", was to make it run on just one cylinder while idling at a stoplight....lol http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/hd2007HD_heat_00.htm I would think using a Power Commander to richen it back up would be the fix.

Ouch! Hope they mend quick. At least you can still ride. +1000 on letting them go over the side like we do.

We rode up to Kentucky today to check up on and cleanup our family cemetery. It wasn't in too bad of shape, as local relatives there take fairly good care of it. It's in the middle of moonshine country. Kinda remote, and on top of a hill. Longest ride I've had with my son, and his girlfriend rode back with me. She may never get back on his GS850....lol. All went well, except that we are now replacing his stator. Good thing I kept the parts bike. Kinda hot on the trip back though. 6 hours round trip.

Clogged jets in the idle circuit? Did you try the Sea-Foam treatment? Did you drain the bowls?

Ain't she s'posed to be sittin' down?

Might check with Tripod. He is triking his. He also builds trikes.

They make it with a 350 and a 502. They are local, and I am friends with the owner. Funny thing is...his name is "Monte"...lol. They used to have 4.3 liter models, but not anymore. He said they are building a few with turbines on them, and are testing the prototype right now. It will be just a novelty bike, for people like Jay Leno and such. He says they run really HOTT...duh. I also know a guy from Michigan that modified his trike with two 502's on it. It makes 1050 horsepower. They hold their International Rally here every year. We always go, and it's a blast.

Rotella dino 15w40 is all I run in my bike, and I've rode it in stop n go traffic in 95 degree heat, and never experienced any overheating. It's something else.

For those of you who have Rural King stores, they now have Sea-Foam on sale for $6.49 a can.

Brand new E3 with a split in the sidewall. Need some opinions.

From the pic, that almost looks cosmetic. How deep is it? I can't really tell with that pic. -
I don't argue over religion, as I don't believe in it. I prefer to live by pure logic. If I can see, hear, smell or taste it, then it must be real. I don't get that with Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny or God. But, I don't have a problem with anyone believing whatever they want to. Hey, it's your right, and alot of people died so that we all can believe in whatever we want, without repercussions. It's best to let people believe what they want, and not argue about it. We can all get along without it anyway. We're here to talk about motorcycles.....right?

It comes on at around 215 degrees F. Mine bike has been at 247 degrees so far, in traffic, and the light didn't come on(I have gauges), so these things must be able to get pretty hot before any damage. At 247, the fan was working overtime.

But, he said he replaced the relay, so I assumed he used a relay in the first place.
