No need to apologize. I would have done the same thing, only I would have sat on the car and got the pic....lol Snarley Bill organizes the Hub rally, so he'd be the one to ask.

My Mom and Stepdad had one of those that they pulled with their 1100 Goldwing. They even pulled it to Alaska and back.

Do you have any pics? Can the trailer be lightened up? My camper trailer weighs 335lbs empty. So far, I have only pulled it about 400 miles, with about 75 lbs in it, making a total of 410lbs. I had no trouble pulling it through the mountains of Arkansas and Missouri. I could tell the difference between it, and my normal trailer though. I also had to do a "quick" stop, about 4 miles from home today, chirping the tires a little. I chalk that up to not paying attention, and not enough experience with this trailer yet. Pictures would help. If we knew what kind of trailer it was, and how it was constructed, we could maybe advise you better. You may be able to modify it, and make it lighter. Will you have to modify that hitch on the Beemer, or is the trailer made for a BMW?

We are finally home. Had a great time at the Hub, and some other places too. The camper pulled great, even thru the mountains. I can tell this one's back there, though.

Don, Is there any way you could remove the members that haven't logged into the site, for like the last year? If they haven't been here in a year, it's likely they're not coming back, and it would clean up our list, making it easier for us to find members.

Craig, We enjoyed meeting you and the wife yesterday. I just wish we could've had time to visit and get to know each other, but we both already had plans. Maybe next year, at the Hub. The food was excellent at the Rib Crib. I hope you found the bbq you were looking for there. You even got to make a few new friends there....right before we left...lol:stickpoke:

We had a great time visiting with friends, and meeting new ones! We aren't home yet. We spent last night in Branson, and had an awesome helicopter ride. We are in Sikeston for tonight, and will ride on home tomorrow. Trying to ride mornings only, with it being so hot.

I wish we could, but I have to be back to work on the 13th. Plus, we just spent a chunk on this camper, while at the Hub. If it was next weekend, I coulda probably squeaked it out. Have a blast!!

I don't know what it costs to get it to you up there, but Motorcycle Superstore usually sells it for around $110. They have free shipping here, but I don't know about up there, eh.

U-haul has a little motorcycle trailer, but they'll only rent it for local in-town use. They also have this one. It has a front wheel chock, and lots of tie downs. I rented it for $130, and could keep it for like 4 or 5 days. Very cheap. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IMG_3796.jpg

Now that we have this, our Escapade trailer is for sale. I think B2dad is going to buy it, but if he doesn't, then I'll take $1500.00 for it, to any VR member. It has new tires, a new cooler rack and it now has a spare tire and rim. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/trlr3.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/trlr2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/trlr1.jpg

We are heading up to Branson here in an hour or so. Depending on what we find, we may stay up there all day, and head out sometime tomorrow. Not sure yet. We are pulling this camper trailer now, so plans might get changed a bit. My cell # is 731-363-4345

Here is our new toy. It's an '01 Aspen Classic. I think I am cut off for a while... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Image2-1.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Image8.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Image4.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Image3-1.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/Image9.jpg

LOL, never happen. Most power comes from coal, and no one seems to want to give up all of their electrical/electronic gadgets, so coal will be around for a loooooooong time, no matter how many wind or solar units they come up with. That is a pipe dream. If it ever did, I can always switch over to one of our nuke or hydro plants. We are the biggest power provider in the country. Here is my plant... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/NewJohnsonvilleFP.jpg

Try working in a powerhouse, with 10 coal-fired boilers.

Expired license here. Was EMS First Responder for 5 years, and Firefighter for 11 years. Also trained in vehicle rescue/extrication. I do carry a mini jump bag with me. Luckily, it has only been used once, at the Int'l rally. Lance borrowed it from me to treat an injured little girl.

No pain in the morning for me, although, I am feeling pretty good...lol. Having a great time meeting new friends, and seeing old friends again. It sure is hot out though. The hospitality is great!

Nemo, They are tight. I took the fairing apart today. When I reassembled, I decided to loctite the bolts, because they have come loose a few times. I even had to replace one bolt that came out and got lost. They are tight now. I wanted to make sure, before my trip to the Hub tomorrow morning.

ok ok i know oldgoats asking another dumb question
Monty replied to oldgoat's topic in Watering Hole
Bead surface on the rim probably needs to be cleaned, which requires a dismount. Air it up fully, then mix a bottle of soapy water, and spray all around the valve stem, then all around the beads. If that's not it, then start spraying the tire until you find the leak. I would dismount it and fix it right. -
I usually put a little on the bolt threads, but this time, I just put a little shot inside each nutsert, then slid in the windshield, and put the bolts in. Apparently, I got way too much in that one hole. Live and learn.
