Volunteer Department for 11 years. Paid Department for 5 years. EMS First Responder for 5 years. You don't do it for the money, or the glory. You do it because you have the desire to help others....with nothing in return. I am still on the Fire Brigade at work, but we do it to protect our fellow workers and equipment. Powerhouse is a dangerous enough place to work as it is. I hope you do well, and stay safe.

When it's running, you can usually pinpoint a stuck/bent/burnt valve like this. Intake valve will usually cause a backfire or pop thru the carbs during the compression stroke. When holding a dollar bill back at the muffler outlets, an exhaust valve problem will usually try to suck in the dollar bill, whenever the piston is on its' intake stroke. Just my 2 cents. Can't say anything about the Metzelers, as I've never run them. @ Okiestar, keep an eye on those Avons.....they are prone to cracking and splitting. THOSE, I DO have experience with.

It was 43 when I left home yesterday morning, to meet my Dad for breakfast at a little restaurant that was 3 miles away. After breakfast, it took me about 3 hours to get back home. I think it was 48 by then. I am torn, as I really need to put the bike up for the winter, so that I can do some projects to it, but as long as the weather is letting me ride, I just can't do it! Supposed to be 61 today.

That place is nothing but a $hithole anyway, and it always will be. You can't help those that won't help themselves. I hope they all make it home safely.

It is all true, except for the cell phone thing...that is a load of bull. As a former Firefighter, I was brought up to speed on extensive testing, and just plain old statistics. Cell phones won't cause an explosion. Getting in and out of your car can, and has caused many explosions/fires, due to the static discharge.

One of my pet peeves, is loud music in movies. I wish we had the option to turn the music off. Alot of movies have loud music, and the voices are low volume, so I have to really strain to hear what they're saying. To me, the dialogue is much more important than the music. I feel I miss out on some important things that were said, because the music started blaring when they were speaking. Another one, is seeing people driving with a cell phone stuck to their ear. I see alot of people(especially women) that it seems they think their car won't shift into drive, or go, unless they get the phone going first. Oh, I have many, many more.

I just blow 'em out with the air compressor, and keep on truckin'. As long as you can see lotsa daylight thru them, they are good.

It depends on if you've got it selected for SP or HS on the handlebar control. I usually keep my comms in the headset, and the music thru the speakers. We use the J&M Elite headsets.

They don't represent true Atheists. True Atheists don't try to push their beliefs on other people. I am Atheist, but I have always known the holiday as Christmas, and that's what it will always be, in my world. For me, Christmas has no religious meaning. It's about getting families together, and spending time together, enjoying each others' time, and sharing gifts with one another....oh, and the turkey too...lol Oh, and I am NOT a fan of the ACLU. Please don't group us all together.

I'll third it. I have had great success with it. You need to remove the Mcafee first though. Running two antivirus softwares is a no-no. It will cause you more problems.

Good for him! I started mine out when they were 4 and 5. I bought them a pair of Yamaha PW50s to start out on, and got bigger sizes as they grew out of them. They are 20 and 21 now. One owns and rides my old Suzuki GS850. The other one isn't really interested anymore.

Seeing as it's in the center of the tread, and you don't have the money to replace the tire right now, I would plug it. You should be fine. I would replace it as soon as I could, though.
