Yes, if you can let them go. They just need to be in really good shape. How much?

It is a Dunlop Elite 3. Here are the specs... Rear: MT90B16 H (130 mph) 74 (827 lbs) Front: MT90B16 H (130 mph) 72 (783 lbs) So, not a big difference in the load ratings. We would be putting it on the rear of a 1982 Suzuki GS850L. Much lighter than an RSV.

I have two front tires that I pulled off of my bike, that still have lots of tread on them. My son needs a rear tire for his bike, and they are the same size. Any issues with turning the tire against the arrow, and putting it on the rear?

I've found them for $60 apiece online, but I would prefer smoked or maybe even chromed.

Replacing fairing clear protectors
Monty replied to jryan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I need to find a set also. I tried to paint them as suggested, and it damaged the plastic, badly. I guess I used the wrong paint. -
I told ya it was Hydro-lock!

Patriot Guard Riders are going to be in a big demand now

I have been a member for a while, but haven't made any missions yet. They are very short notice, and I am usually at work. -

I paused and rewound my DVR, then ran and got my digital camera, and held it up to the screen, then hit play...lol. -

Prayer request for Charlene.......

You and her will be in our thoughts here. I hope she comes through it with flying colors, and heals quickly. -
My shield is short enough 14.5", that I may tint the whole thing.

Funny thing about cleaner air from all of the electric vehicles is.... We're gonna have to burn more coal to meet the increased electricity demand. If anyone thinks Nuclear, Hydro, Wind and Solar will be able to keep up, they are mistaken. Electric vehicles are a moot point. They're just the newest fad.

I'll check my local tint shops. I just got my F4 today. I'm off tomorrow, so I'll look around.

Water, yes. Antifreeze will form a black crust, and it takes Seafoam to remove it. Let's hope it was a bad casting on the rod, or a head/head gasket failure.
-
At home now. It looks like it could have been from hydro-lock. Did they find a leak in the head gasket in that cylinder? Were you ever losing anti-freeze, without finding any on the outside? Anti-freeze will give you that look on the top of the piston also. Just my 2 cents.
-
I am at work, and can't see the pictures. If the bearings are ok, then that should show that lubrication was good, and there weren't any ports stopped up by dirty oil. The only other things I can think of, are detonation, or hydro-lock. The top of the piston would show both of these. Hopefully, it was a bad rod to begin with, and it finally decided to let go. I'll look at the pics when I get home.

I do know that being the Chief takes up ALOT of your personal time. There's a whole lot more to it than fighting fires. You seem to be involved in quite a few things right now... When do you have time for those 4 kids and a wife? I'm just sayin'.... been there. Think hard about it.

If the rod is twisted, then it sounds as if a bearing seized and put excessive torque on the rod, causing it to snap. I don't know what Yamaha's stance on that is, though.
