Have a great time, and PLEASE...no pics of you in your bathing suit.
-
Also, better to feather the prop in the dead engine, if at all possible.

My son is building a new road along the beach, in Kuwait. He stopped in the local Navy base exchange, and they had RC Helicopters. He said he bought one. I'm trying to find out if he has destroyed it yet...lol.
-
I like it just fine. No problems yet.

I am VERY handy, so I'm sure I'll be able to fix any damage I WILL cause. ( notice I didn't say "may" cause). I have almost 1000 hours on flight simulators, so that can only be to my benefit. I am also going to use the supplied simulator to learn the radio controls, extensively, before I attempt a flight.
-
Well, I noticed the radio is a Spectrum. These models were made from August 2010-current. I'll try to check and see what date mine was made. Hopefully, it was before the split.

Well, this will be my first plane, so I think what I bought will be perfect for me. It's a good trainer. If I destroy it, or decide the hobby isn't for me, then I'm not out much. If I really get into it, then I will start looking for quality stuff.
-
I am excited. I just ordered this one. It also comes with the simulator kit. http://www.bananahobby.com/1651.html Supposed to be one of the best trainers out there.

Yes. Firemancv

I had a PS3, but sold it. Consoles are not for me. I even had a keyboard/mouse setup for the PS3, because I can't stand those controllers. I just built a new PC, and I play COD:MW3, Battlefield 3, ARMA II, and a few other games. I also fly online with the IL-2 Sturmovik series. I've been flying them for years.

I am planning on getting me a nice trainer plane to start out with. I want to start with the trainer software, then try to fly it. I have many, many hours on flight sims, and want to give RC planes a try. My son bought me a nice Nitro RC car (truggy) for Christmas. It was around $350, and is supposed to run 65 MPH. I told him I'm not really into those anymore (he remembers I used to drive them alot...20 years ago). He is ok with me trading it for a plane or two. The problem is finding a store that will trade. I haven't even put fuel in it yet. I told him I may just buy me a good trainer, and just give the car to him, when he gets back from his deployment. Here is what he bought me... http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/1-8-Scale-Nitro-Professional-Series/Monsoon-XTR

In truth, she didn't find the actual pic that I posted. I grabbed it off the net, so it is already out there, with the ELF 2 designation. My picture wouldn't have come up anyway, as I named it "Marcarl". The only way she would have seen it by searching, is to do a google search for "Marcarl". I have since renamed it again, though. The original with "elf 2" is still out there. I have no idea who put it out there, and I didn't know it was actually you anyway...and still not sure, but not gonna keep staring at it to find out.
-
There, I fixed it just the way you wanted it. I had gotten that picture after someone posted it on Facebook, with the ELF 2 already on it.
-
Hope you made a bunch this holiday season!!!! I fixed it.

Glad to see you back, Ted! I know you were missing being able to ride.

Was it a white one? Despite what Tom said, I just knew you had been good all year.

Lots of camping room there too.
