I have the mechanic version. Looks just like it, but quite a bit bigger.

What are you thinking when breaking in your new engine?
Monty replied to a topic in General Tech Talk
I have broken in many new engines. My view has always been to break it in like it will be driven. Another philosophy I have is...it's under warranty now, and better to have it break now. Run it hard. If it's not put together right, it will come apart. if it's built right, it'll hold together. Of course, this philosophy comes from many years of drag racing. -
I like that color alot!!

Guess you outdid Lance on that one.....BD!

We went up to Jackson, Missouri today, to look at a red '56 Ford, but it wasn't up to snuff. BUT....the guy had this sweet '55 Ford, and it was just right. Brought it home with us. Has a fairly fresh 292 in it, and it runs sweet.

I have the original owner's manual in my trunk.

The intercom is voice activated, unless you install Mic Mutes. The select button will let you choose speaker or headset for output, and also let you adjust the intercom volume. Try turning the IC volume up, then speak into the microphone, and see if that works. Make sure the passenger volume knob is turned up also.

Oldgoat, maybe it's because you end most of your sentences with a question mark, instead of a period. Maybe they think you're not sure of yourself.

There are only 2 options that I know of... 1) Remember your password. 2) When you setup your Yahoo account, they asked you for an alternate email. If you gave them one, then you should be ok. Use the "lost password" link at Yahoo sign-in, and they will email your password to that alternate email. Then you're good to go. Otherwise, I think you are screwed.

I may need a new real wheel
Monty replied to etcswjoe's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have a spare rear wheel. Let me know for sure if you need one, and we'll work out the details. I bought a brand new one last year, because I got a deal on it. -
Here is my video. I edited it, to take out the shaking, but it's taking a long time. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pNXYL7fiHw]B2 2012 M&E.MP4 - YouTube[/ame]

Definitely stay away from Hughesnet and WildBlue. Satellite internet isn't much better than dial-up. You would hate it.

We survived the long trip home as well.

what is most miles you ever put on 1 bike?
Monty replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Watering Hole
The people I've talked to say the RSV actually seemed to run better after the 100,000 mile mark. I have 80,000 on mine so far. -
I have Road King pipes on mine. They sound great. They seem to be popular on these bikes.

The deer are year-round here. Couple years ago, we had 2 hits within 15 minutes of each other, on Father's Day. The 1st one, a co-worker was coming home from work on his new bike, and a deer jumped across the road & took him right off the bike. He never saw it coming. It knocked him into the path of an oncoming car, and he was killed. The bike rolled off into the ditch, and wasn't even hurt. The 2nd one only caused the guy a broken leg, some road rash & a totalled bike. Turkeys, turkey vultures, turtles & armadillos are a problem around here also.

Dunlop E3s for me. Don't need Metzlers chunking out on me, and I don't need any more Avons splitting & cracking on me. I learned my lesson with the Avons. On my 3rd set of E3s, and they work just fine.
