Good for her! A Honda Rebel is a good bike to learn on. I wish my wife was into riding. She is content to sit on the back with me, and just enjoy the sights. She loves to ride, just not drive. I used to race motocross, and she had her own YZ125. She could jump, hit the doubles, tabletops and whoops with no problem, and loves to ride offroad, just not on the street. I had gotten a really good deal on a Shadow 500 a few years back, so I bought it for her...but she wasn't interested, so I sold it.

85 here. I am already tired of mowing...and summer hasn't even started yet. I mow, then it rains, then I have to mow again in just a few days, or it gets away from me....sigh. We've had lotsa good riding weather here, though...except for the wind.

You did a really bad job around the lower fairing, but other than that, it looks pretty good, even the reflections. You did forget to do the top of the passenger backrest though...it's still tan.

I wouldn't go back until the cameras are fixed...then I would park in very good view of them.

Buy you a wheel chock, mount it, and park the bike in it, then get off and check it. I always just grab the handlebar, lean it upright, and check mine. It has never been low, though.

It's not just Yamaha. My Suzuki was the same way. Be glad, as some bikes have no sight glass, dipstick or anything.

Don, I am glad it went well, and your spirits are high. I would think it would be a little load off of your mind knowing that part is behind you. Hopefully, that treatment will do the trick, and you won't need any more. Pullin' for ya here Bud.

anyone know how the CB cuts the radio off?
Monty replied to justfun1's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
I would like to see a schematic as well. Normally, a wire on the radio would detect the output signal from the CB, activating the muting circuit in the radio until the output signal goes away, then the radio resumes playing. -
Well Dan, I finally got the chance to ride today, so I did all the things you suggested. The front wheel bounce is not as bad now, but the wobble is still there. It starts to wobble around 80, and gets worse with acceleration. Slightest movements like shifting will set it off too. It feels like is more in the front, so I guess I'll be checking out the steering head this weekend. Thanks for the suggestions.

That sux!! Second one of those I've heard in a week. Most people around here have sensors at the bottom of the doorway, that won't let a door close if there is an obstruction. You might wanna get some of those.

That is one badass lookin' bike!! Great job.

Squeeze is right. Even if you jump start a bike and let it run with a weak battery, the stator is working overtime just trying to charge up that bad battery. This can destroy a stator. This is why you are supposed to fully charge a battery before you use it. If you unhook the battery while the engine is running, it puts a TREMENDOUS load on your charging system, and can destroy it.

I'm proud of the both of them! I think everyone that is able, should do at least one tour.

I use a pitbull motorcycle lift any time I have to raise my bike up. There is no better lift on the market....period. http://www.pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com

Brand new Elite 3s. 32PSI up front, and 40PSI rear, as per the manual. Had some wobble before changing tires also. Why would the wobble decrease greatly with her on the bike? She only weighs like 125lbs.

I noticed yesterday when my wife was with me, it didn't wobble anyway near as much. I even took it up to 90 with no wobble. I wonder if I may have too much air in the rear shock. I have 45lbs in there. The manual says 14-72 psi. Does that make any sense?
