You might try a left hand twist drill bit with the point ground so that it digs in and "grabs". Even if that doesn't pull it out, you have a hole for an eazy out. OR what's that magic "As Seen On TV" thingy:think: that is guaranteed to remove any stripped or broken bolt?

Suppose to have at least three straight days of sun and almost short sleeve temps. :cool10: But I have "in the house" work that has to be done, before I can go out and play. :bang head:

Some of you guys in Biloxi/Gulfport should have this "in the bag". Mosey down to the Hard Rock on 90...

Same here ticket OR lecture. Stopped a kid one night in Columbus, MS, cause he almost cleared the ground:yikes: coming up the hill on Main Street, meeting me. Must have been doing 75 in a 25, didn't have radar that night. It was 11:45 PM and he told me he was rushing to drop a buddy off and be home by Midnight. I had him sit on the hood of his car 'til 12:15 and let him go, telling him that he was now already late so no need to hurry. I BET he didn't tell his dad that it was a mean ole policeman that made him late!

Lynn, A dumba$$ question , are there grease zyrks(sp?) for any of these? Or is disassembly and assembly necessary? Walter -
Listing says it has been removed. Was looking out of curiosity, as I have another possible deal in the works, IF a 1999 seat will fit on a 1998. Any one know???

Just a thought, but I have applied to our state Vocational Rehab. department. They have funding to buy hearing aids for working people so they can keep working. Also for the deaf ASL folks, a free video phone relay (video TDD) service. http://www.sorensonvrs.com/ http://www.sorensonvrs.com/what/index.php

If that doesn't cure it, go to your local Caterpillar dealer and buy (around $12.00) an oil sample bottle. Take a 2oz sample of your (warm) engine oil and have them check it for water and antifreeze. -
Along those lines I got to follow a die-hard Harley guy 28 miles along interstate 55, last Sunday night to make sure he got to a truck stop. For some reason his bike had started acting up and would only run 35mph, down hill . I think when I found him broken down he first thought I was on a Harley:). After he noticed Yamaha, I think he was just glad sombody stopped. So, Peg IMHO, stand your ground!!! Walter

Sounds like he may be pulling one on you like I used to do betting friends I could start my '52 Studebaker and they couldn't. I'd show them how by pushing on the brake pedal then pushing the gear shift up into reverse. What I DIDN'T tell them is that the starter button was under the clutch.

George (Sleeperhawk), I have Allstate on my cars. Ironically when I called my agent to ask about covering my "new" bike, he told me to call Geico, as Allstate could not compete. Not promoting the little green lizard, but just relaying my experience...

my I hope I never have to find out about their service, but before I bought the RSTC I shopped Foremost and Geico and Geico won out. That is where the previous owner had it insured as well.

Back in my younger days at the motorcycle/outboard shop we'd charge all the "condensors" in the parts bins using the coil tester. The boss got to where he would pull the point sets, but would absolutely NOT pull the condensors.

Can we say centrifugal force. My son in law in a "brain-dead" moment armoralled the sidewalls on his Busa, being extra careful not to get close to the tread. After a ride somewhat over the interstafe speed limit he noticed the bike was not wanting to stop as it should. With the heat and speed the stuff had migrated TO the tread. I don't think he'll ever do THAT again!!!

My really dumb engine question
wes0778 replied to wes0778's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Somebody :whistling:told me that my bike will blast through 90 in 3rd and the rev limiter won't rear it's ugly head. The same person tells me that the vibration that appears at 60-65 mostally disapears around 85. Again, not that I would know first hand :whistling: Walter -
My , How hard do you ride it? My mileage dropped from 42 to 33, on the first leg of my day trip, today. I did however make the 130 mile trip in an hour and 45 minutes:whistling:. could that be your culprit? Walter
