  5. Just be sure you only grab the GREEN eyes!!!!!!!!!! :backinmyday:
  6. My son and I are planning to begin our trek to MD on Wednesday June 5th, riding to Hopkinsville, KY and staying, overnight, with relatives. We will be leaving Hopkinsville early Thursday morning, heading to the Purchase Parkway and then to Elizabeth Town. Anybody wanna meet and ride with us? Plans are to go all the way to Oberlin Thursday, BUT depending on weather and my son, we MAY stop somewhere and ride in Friday.:cool10:
  7. Well, tried the sidecar thingy and was Ok, just not for me, so now, to keep the wife happy (for some reason, she seems to not like falling over ) I've invested in a Voyager kit. :cool10:
  8. Guess I was lucky, I just put the 1-1/2" risers in and have never had any issues.
  9. Right or wrong, I ran 40 psi (max pressure listed on the sidewall) all the time.
  10. Be Safe Dan!!! Prayers are with you!!!
  11. I'm in unknown territory here! Any here have a VTX 1800? What tires have you used?
  12. That's the way the cookie bounces....
  13. Just a "been there - done that" suggestion; When you install the risers, DON'T put them in place and them try to pull the handlebars back enough to come over the top of the risers. Do pull the handlebars back (second pair if hands is preferred) just far enough to slide the risers in from the side.
  14. JMHO, I changed the OEM bearings at around 10,000 miles on them. They looked brand new. I finally changed the "cheap" tires last week. They have something like 17-18,000 miles on them. Never weighed the trailer but it is not too heavy for me to pick it up from the rear. I have not lengthened the tongue, but I have never had any instability from it untill I approach the rev limiter in 4th gear
  15. Have you put the Baron risers on the handlebars? If not, doing so could eliminate the neck and shoulder pain, it did for me. A driver's back rest helps too.
  16. This is pretty much the same for me. Here is the HF light LED kit. http://www.harborfreight.com/led-trailer-light-kit-95974.html
  17. The screw you removed is one of the ones that secure the fairing to the bike. The chrome ring is held in place with screws from the inside. As has been mentioned the adjustments are not there. Look on the left lower side of the rear (handlebar side) of the fairing, down next to the steering head, there should be a knob to adjust the light up and down. Now if you look on the lower right side, you should see a kinda large, gold colored, Phillips head screw. This is the left/right adjustment for the headlight.
  18. Carl, I think we are basically on the same page. The theory on which we are working now is that since the bike has been sitting up for a good time the idle circuit is completely plugged and the butterflies are open wide enough the the engine is "idling" on the high speed circuit, thus not enough restriction to show manifold pressure (vacuum). During the whole "endeavor" no one thought check the butterfly angles to see if they were completely closed. The saga will continue later..... (wish I could be there!)
  19. I'm not a lawyer, but just because his insurance does not "cover" this, it does not mean HE is NOT liable, does it? If he has a medical condition and was still driving in spite of it, would he not be negligent? As others have said contact a lawyer
  20. Even saw one 1997 Royal Star...
  21. Kenny, try going straight to it.
  22. I think CountIf is the function that you are going to need......
  23. My Tag along is usually overloaded and 2-up, so I allow extra room for braking. Along with the Skydoc clutch upgrade, I put in VMax rear gears. This helps a lot in starting off, especially if it is an up hill incline. It also helps run hills in 5th without a lot of down shifting.
  24. Been there Done that, There is a poor ground connection between the battery(-) and the trailer frame.
