    you could probably do it ONCE... Don't know how the Mercruiser lower unit works, but YEARS ago the Johnson/Evenrude used magnets and a spring that tightened like a "Chinese handcuff" to shift. There were no "dogs". If that is the case here there would be no problem making the shift. There would however most likely be LOTS of problems after the shift, if it was done much above idle.

    Does it have a passenger back rest/sissy bar? That is what I use to tie down the back of my Tour Classic. I do criss-cross them though.

    Curtis, I know the "kick in the gut" when the doc says it's cancer. I my case breast cancer in 2001. Yeah, us guys can get it TOO! So, let the wife/GF/SO help check for... oops sorry almost forgot it's a PG site I pray that your outcome is as good as mine, so far!!!
