Is it not still in the 5 year warranty?

When only loading one bike could one of the "chocks" be moved to the center? I would think the trailer would pull better and tire wear would be more even if the weight (bike) was centered.

I have ordered this with the Midland 75-822. http://www.wearecb.com/store/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Riderlink&search_in_description=&x=8&y=12 Not sure yet, other than putting them in my pocket, how/where I'm going to mount it. They also sell the 75-822. http://www.wearecb.com/store/midland-75-822-ultra-compact-cb-radio-mobile-adapter-p-789.html They have about the best price I can find on both units...- 11 replies

Just wondering if one of us was headed south on US-49 in Richland, MS this afternoon about 4:30? That time of day traffic in that area is a terrible, so I could not get turned around to try to say hello. I didn't get a good look, but it appeared to be a light colored (maybe silver) Venture.

Upper Respiratory Infection... -
I'd love to have it and would send a check in a heart beat, but have no way to get it to Jackson, MS. My bike, at this point, is not setup for pulling a trailer. Is anyone from that area coming to Memphis, for the St. Jude event? I could pick it up there... Walter

My first thought is the fried solenoid may be the result of another problem. Most solenoids I have worked with have two sets of coils within them. A powerful "pull-in" set and a weaker "hold" set. The pull in set draw a lot higher current and are designed to operate for a very short period of time to move the core, usually against a spring, before turning the job over to the weaker coils that hold the core in place. If this transition does not take place and the power is applied to the "pull-in" coil, for an extended period, this will let smoke out and we know when that happens the solenoid is no good any more. So I bet if you find the cause of the new whine, you'll find what ever is the movable core for the burned up solenod is, is stuck or seized. I could be wrong:confused07:, I have been at least once before:innocent:, but my

OR a sliding hitch that compresses a hydraulic master cylinder to activate the hydraulic brakes on the trailer wheels. We have several heavy trailers so equipped, from where I (semi) retired.

Bob, WHAT an inspirational post!!! I have a close friend that drown when she was 9 and some of what she had to say about it is truly amazing. That being said, I am very surprised at the number of Bridgestone M/Cs as first rides. Most folkes don't even know B/S made bikes. My first real job was at the Johnson outboard and Bridgestone M/C dealer in Greenwood Mississippi. We never sold any bigger tha the 90cc ones. The were great bikes and I'm surprised they didn't catch on. I think the reason we didn't sell more is that they were a sideline to the larger marine business and there was a rather large Honda dealer in town. I eventually went to work for the Honda dealer. The first motor cycle(if you can call it that) that I actually owned was a Simplex scooter. Dad's boss had bought the scooter for his daughter. She ended up wrecking it 3 times before they said enough. I bought it for $25.00 (8 lawns mowed in 1965). The picture looks WAY better than what I got to ride, after all it had fallen down 3 times, remember. While I was working for the Honda Dealer he had a 1964 CA72 (150 Dream) that a customer had a factory new engine installed and never came back to get it. I bought it for the cost of the new engine $150.00 I think. Rode the Pi$$ out of it. seized a piston and ended up boring it 0.125". Rode it as a trail bike at Mississippi State U, untill the 1968 Yamaha DT-1 came along. It is a domestic bike that a friend bought in Japan while he was stationed there in the Air Force. When he got out he brought it back where I bought it for $400.00. I still have it! But haven't ridden it in 30 something years. Several years ago my daughter and son in law got tired of their 650 Burgman and gave it to me as a Christmas Present. I rode it up untill the 1998 RSTC jumped out of Craig's List and demamded that I give her a home.
