  7. No firm plans yet, but I'm trying to convince The Aussies to follow me home from Vogel. Then I just might take off to Texas with them. Don't know their schedule, but If I can convince them to stay more than one night we might Try a quick M&E here in the Jackson, MS area.
  8. Hmmmm, maybe this calls for looking for the "WHY" post, awhile back!!! :cool10: :crackup::crackup::crackup:
  9. Let me know too. If it is still there in Oct, he may be willing to about give it to ya!!! Lets hope that turns out to be the case. I bought my '99 in Sept 2009, with only 16,000 miles on the clock. Had been wrecked and repaired, some bling, and I paid only $4500.00.
  10. 2 for me.
  11. I have been looking for words and Boomer said exactly how I have felt as well. Ride on Brother until we meet again!!!
  12. Bob, I've just put a voyager kit on my '99 RSV and have so far left the mud guard, as they call it, off because it is only about a foot from the stock mufflers. How did you address this? I've seen some turn down mufflers on some member's bikes, but not sure where to get them. I have thought about making circular cut outs in the mud guard and maybe making some funnel shaped metal inserts that would start an inch or so behind the muffler and extend through the mud guard an inch or so.
  13. By looking on Fleabay, I've so far bought 4 for $0.01 each. Yeah that is a penny apiece. Combined shipping on the 1st 3 was $24.00 and $19.00 on the 4th one...
  14. One thing I would add is be careful as hydraulic lock CAN bend a rod which will eventually break and come out through the engine case. One member here can attest to that. It would seem there was not enough fuel in the cylinder to completely lock the engine, but enough to obstruct the piston travel just short of TDC. When the the starter was engaged the engine started but when that piston came to the top it made a heck of a racket. Several of us heard it, but didn't know what it was. Later that day the rod came out. Not Pretty!!!

  16. No need to mess with the adjuster, just take the two rubber mount bolts out and the bucket will swing around enough to let you change the bulb. Just a reminder, DON'T touch the glass on the new bulb!
  17. Others may have a simpler solution, but splitting the fairing is the only way I've found...
  18. Madison, Mississipppi On June 14, 2013 at 0749am, officers of the Madison Police Department responded to Interstate 55 Southbound near the 110 mile marker concerning an accident involving a tractor trailer and a motorcycle. Witness accounts confirm that three motorcycles were travelling southbound on Interstate 55 when traffic began to slow near the 110 mile marker. One of the riders, 29 year old Steffie Mitchell of Jackson, MS lost control of her 2005 Suzuki GXS motorcycle and collided with the rear of a tractor trailer that was slowing for traffic. Ms. Mitchell was pronounced dead on the scene and the accident remains under investigation. With the assistance of the Madison County Sheriff's Department, traffic on Interstate 55 was rerouted so that preliminary information could be obtained for the reconstruction of the accident. Further information will not be released until all findings involving the accident are complete.
  19. There is what is known as a "big foot" mod to the air box that some say helps, but be careful as getting too much air into these motors can be counter productive.
  20. When I installed (what turned out to be a piece of crap) my HID, I used double sided auto trim tape and stuck the ballast to the large flat surface of the (sitting on the seat) right side of the inner faring. I cannot say if it did or didn't interfere with the CB, but it did not seem to bother either the AM or the FM part of the radio.
  21. Here are a few...
  22. Well, there is one picture....... :cool10:
