  1. If he hasn't already sold it, Squidley has/had one for sale, look in the classified section.
  2. I would suspect you now need to make the checks out to: "The Estate of John Smith" and continue to mail them to the same address. Maybe even send them return receipt required.
  3. No-No-No, unplug the factory wiring to the lower horn and tie it off. Then run a short wire from one horn terminal (ground) to one ot the horn mounting bolts, then connect the other lower horn terminal to the #87 terminal of the same relay that sends power to the Stebel air horn. The only factory wiring you end up using are the two wires that were originally connected to the factory right rear horn. Those two wires should now be hooked to the #85 and #86 terminals on the Stebel relay. The #30 terminal should have a fused 14ga (or larger) wire run to the positive terminal on the battery.
  4. Yes, disconnect the factory plug to the left lower horn. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=420762#post420762
  5. I ran it off the same #87 relay terminal that I ran to the Stebel. My horn relay is attached to a bolt under the coolant recovery bottle, so I used a straightend coat hanger to "fish" the wire from there under the tank and then routed it down to the horn. Of course I had to remove the left lower fairing.
  6. Do I need to alert my buddy at the Big & Tall store???:stickpoke:

    OUTSTANDING!!! :clap2:
  10. If you have a G2 and really wanna kick it up a notch , run a 14ga wire from the relay to one terminal on the factory horn behind the left lower. Then ground the other terminal to one of the horn mounting bolts.
  11. The Rules say Pictures!!! :rasberry:
  12. I just re-read your original post; Not to send more "Rain on your parade" but something to watch out for when you drill a bolt off center, this can leave part of the bolt in the hole which will move when the tap gets to it, forming a "lock" on the tap flute, which is probably why the tap stopped turning. Your extra pressure then broke it. When that left over piece of bolt turns into the flute area of the tap, there is no going in or out! If this is the case, the tap extractor will be useless. Been there, done that and BURNED the tee shirt!!! Good luck!!!

  20. Can't for now remember the guy's name that has an independent shop on 61 just west of the Puckett store, but he comes highly recommended. Or when this crappy weather is over I'll ride down and take a look at it. I don't have any 1st gen experience, but we can learn together. You know "here hold my beer and watch this!!!"
