  4. I have the HJC IS-MAX and pretty much like it. I did have to cut the web (not padding) next to my ears to install the headset speakers. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=352653&highlight=helmet#post352653

  8. The email I sent in response to their quality survey(before the second one cracked and burned out). Guess what, I've yet to get a response to my response! I found out about you from a fellow member on venturerider.org I totally understand why you are closing out the lights I bought. They are junk! Of the two that I installed, on my RSV, one crackedafter the 1st ride and BOTH bulbs have burned out. One burned out on the 1st (150 mile) ride after installation. The second one 300 miles later. Both slightly fogged up as soon as I turned them on for the first time. When I found them on your website, I posted it on venturerider.org and a BUNCH of the members ordered these bulbs. Some ordered multiple sets. Most have had the same experience with cracking and fogging. So far no one else has mentioned the short bulb life. I haven't installed my second set in my 1998 Royal Star Tour Classic and probably will not. I was considering looking to you for a matching headlight for my 1999 RS Venture, but not now. From what I'm told you don't make a "plug & play" headlight for a Venture anyway. Thanks for letting me rant!!! 16. Even with the 67 hp engine, the '97 RS is no mousey motor. Wind it up against the rev limiter (you won't hurt it!!!) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and it will surprise you! After 96 in 3rd, I haven't wound on it much in 4th.

  23. I got and even better looks at that 1st gen!!! I got to look at the twisties over the handlebars and through the windshield. Just had a bit of trouble finding where to put my feet
  24. Gary may chime in with a G1 specific option, but on my G2 I picked up a single pole single throw 30Amp relay from Autozone. I cut into the "feed wire" to the dimmer switch. I hooked the cut end going to the dimmer switch to terminal 87 on the relay and the other cut end to terminal 85 on the relay. Terminal 30 on the relay is hooked to a fused wire directly to the positive battery post and then hook 86 to a suitable ground. Also as a safety measure in case the relay fails, I wired a manual off/on switch across terminals 30 and 87. This switch turns on the head, regardless of the position of the ignition switch.
  25. just my Instead of going to all that trouble and expense to lower the front, why not just push the forks up in the triple tree one inch, unless you are needing to lower it more than that. Something else you may need to consider is shortening the kickstand if both ends of your bike are lowered.
