First off, to the asulum!!!
You say the trunk has been repaired, If so, I would hope who ever did it installed the reinforcement rubber and plates. If all you have is large round washers holding the trunk on, it WILL fail again. That was ONE of the short comings on the 99s.
That looks like a really expensive Corbin set up. If so it is real leather which if I'm not mistaken can be dyed.
If not, how would you swap for the OEM seats and back rest off my '98 RSTC?
I suspect there is still air in the system. The clutch circuit on these bikes is a bear to get all the air out of. Some have said when you get it to your stage, tie the lever against the grip and leave it over night.
I made it home, wet, but safe, this afternoon. THANKS to Doodle and Janet for their hospitality!
Was good to have breakfast Saturday morning with Ponch and Cathy!
As others have said, I'll sure miss Don, aka Thor!
Thanks to Squidley and Kregerdoodle for the help getting back on the road.
Oh and Thank you to the Good Samaritan that flagged me down to tell me that I had a light dragging!!!
I've ridden it several times but didn't know it has a "name".
The road known as "Tail of the Lizard" or "Red Bluff Road" is Hwy 587 between Monticello, MS and Foxworth, MS, it runs along the Pearl River. According to where one is coming from they can either get on it in Monticello (usually reached by US Hwy 84) or from the Foxworth area (usually reached by US Hwy 98).
I guess even though it is posted by a Corvette club motorcycles are welcome too!
