  1. This morning, got to try out the Nolan X-1002 helmet, Condor so graciously sold me. Fits perfectly and has a lot less wind noise than my HJC IS-Max. After supper, I made a Wally-World run, on the scoot. When I got there, I had a "" moment. The new helmet has a quick release buckle on the chin strap. In other words, no "D" ring to hook on the helmet lock. So, this time the trunk was empty and I just locked the helmet in there. How many others here have this predicament? Short of putting your, like this, helmet in the trunk, how do you secure it?
  2. It is an RSMV, anybody here???
  3. Drill, tap, add oil as needed and plug??????????????
  4. Just curious, but has anyone taken one of these things apart to figure a way to replenish the oil?
  5. '98 Royal Star Tour Classic '99 Royal Star Venture
  6. The '99s didn't come with pillow top. Driver's back rest is not stock. Oh, white stuff is from a snow storm we had, last winter.
  7. IMHO the Stealer is blowing smoke, you know where!!! The clutch fluid is just DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid. Temp and viscosity have nothing to do with it, at today's temps. If the clutch engages just off the grip, I'm thinking you still have some air in the line. Getting ALL the air out can be a PITA.
  8. Just think, if we don't keep the 'puters running, there would be no means to talk "scooters"!!! :stickpoke: :crackup:
  9. Well, I'm on my home laptop and the bar is back, so it must have been blocked by the workplace firewall.
  10. Ok, maybe something new about the firewall here at work... Thanks!!! The good news, for now it looks like I get to go back to being retired the rest of the month!!!
  11. Just noticed the grey bar for "town, time & temperature" is missing from my signature. Freebird is the only other person I could remember that had one, but his is gone too! Did I miss a post:doh: explaining this or am I the 1st to notice?
  12. +1 on the speed bleeders!!! I've had to remove the fins, if for nothing else to get the little rubber cover, for the slave cylinder, off and on. Oh, and yes, and as stated previously, do not start the engine with the fins off!!!
  13. Would probably take for-ever to install and run, but download and run "Malwarebytes". It found stuff on one of my PCs that Symantec A/V, AdAware and SpyBot missed.
  14. I know Advance Auto here in Richland and AutoZone here in Richland and in Houston, TX do, don't know about Wally World. In Houston they did ask if it had any antifreeze in it. Otherwise they just showed me where their waste oil tank was.
  15. 1st of all I'm no expert but... Gettin it out without spliting the fairing is a piece of cake!!! Now, getting the new one back in , now that's another program all together.... Don't ask how I found that out!!!
  16. And I think I heard the bear saying he is looking for a new pair of gloves...... (Those he got at Vogel wore out)
  17. I wear a large, so what the heck, SOLD I'll PM ya my address. If you do paypal I'll pay ya that way... Walter
  18. And Yogie said; "See Boo-Boo it's called a cell phone!"
  19. We may need jackets Saturday, there is a cold front coming through and it will drop the temp all the way down to 97!!!
  20. But only 1/2 a bubble!!!!!:rasberry:
  21. Some say "oh it's just a dog!" I say NO it is a family member who has stolen a piece of your heart!!! R.I.P
  22. When I tie my bike down on a trailer (after helpful folks get me out from under it ) the rear is the 1st thing I tie down. This assures me that the bike will not fall over, while I really secure the front. I just don't trust the H/F front wheel chock to hold it upright very long. Once the front is secured, I pull the rear ones just tight enough to keep the rear from possibly shifting sideways. Here's some shots of the RSV when I brought it home for the 1st time.
  23. OOOOOOOh I wouldn't have said that very loud!!!
  24. Involuntary manslaughter charges pending, I hope!!!
  25. Got the T6 (blue jug) in both my bikes. No problems. The RSTC had Suzuki (dyno) oil in it when I bought it. Shifts better with the Rotella. The RSV had Mobile 1 in it when I bought it. Don't know if I can really tell much difference in it with the Rotella.
