  1. But Larry you are on a TRIKE!!! :stickpoke::stirthepot:
  2. Kenny, I just ordered a front tire and am having it shipped to your house. Is the Traveler's Rest Motel still a viable place to stay, Sat. Night? Looks like gonna be a good turn out!!!
  3. Ready to order an Elite 3 front tire. Question is since the front of my bike is lowered 1", would I get an additional improvement in handling by putting the "MT90" on, or should I stay with the "150"?
  4. Looking for an Elite 3 front tire. Motorcycle Super Store only lists a MT90HB-16, on sale for $112.99. Is that the same size as the "150" needed for my RSV? To add to the confusion, Dennis Kirk offers a 150/80H-16 ($111.19) AND a MT90HB-16 ($103.99) One has an aspect ratio of 80 and the other 90.
  5. We have it on our calendar. I'll probably be having a new front tire shipped down there. Looking forward to seeing all y'all again!!! What can we bring?
  6. Please put me down for "Tour Classic" 1 "star" and 1 "motorcycle", both 3-1/2, color does not matter. PM sent with address.
  7. Boss, is there a later Excel sheet than the Sept. 2010 one on post #1 of this thread?
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR P.I.T.A.!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUU!!! :clap2::clap2:
  9. From what some have said you have regrettably used up about 1/4 of the engines potential life.
  10. Eileen, Don, What can I say that has not already been said? THANK YOU for another WONDERFUL time!!! Walter
  11. Well, I don't think I wanna get up and do it again tomorrow, but I put a little over 960 miles on the bike(GPS), making it home in one day. Left Elyria around 8:30 AM Eastern time, rolled in my driveway at 2:30AM Central time.
  12. :cool10:
  13. With those kinda numbers, WHY aren't you at MD??? :stickpoke::confused24:
  14. Hmmmm??? Figuring $7.00 for a regular filter and oil changes every 3000 miles you would not get "pay back" for washing that $100.00 filter 'til around 43,000 miles...

  16. Full face modular helmet, Tourmaster mesh jacket, long pants, steel toe lace up boots (sometimes steel toe low quarter lace up shoes) and either leather or armored mesh gloves.

  18. Ok, Here I am 9 months and 6500 miles later... The tire is down well into the wear bars. Poor planning on my part, but the tread was well above the wear bars when we started the trip to Dresden, last Friday. My plan was to buy a new tire from a relative that owns a stealership at the top of our trip. However, 100 or so miles into the trip, I was down to the wear bars, with 350 miles to go. Found an EIII at Lake City Cycles in Grenada, MS. Yes, I could have done better on price, online, but he was reasonable, for a desperate traveler. He was not able to mount it for me as both of his racks were occupied. Long story short, after much adventure I got it mounted at Oxford Power Sports! If you are in the area, from my short experience with both places, I would say give them a chance, 'cause they both treated me great!!! Anyway, back to the Continental. When I 1st put it on, I liked it immediately, especially the "grip" it had during braking. The handling was not bad either, although I'm not what you would consider a real aggressive rider. Fast forward to installing the EIII, WOW, what a difference! Maybe my brain is comparing it to the "worn-out" Continental, but the EIII handles SO much better. On the way home, running through the back roads between Hopkinsville, KY and Jackson, TN the difference was obvious! Two-up, pulling a trailer the RSV seemed to weigh a lot less an "glided" through the twisties! Now if it will last more than 6500 miles.......
  19. You might remind him that some of us "old folks" speak from experience!!! Let him know that good judgement (your not teaching him) comes from experience. and that experience (what he got ) comes from bad judgement (his friend letting him on something that big :cool10::cool10:
  20. Heck, that is even more to get on the site and travel ELECTRONICALLY!!!
  21. GAWildKat had it last I heard. She is suppose to be sending "Annie" to me. I had hoped to take her to Patti and Don's this weekend.
  22. :sign yeah that: The lady goes above and beyond!!!! At least in my dealing with her... :thumbsup2:
  23. Kreg, I suspect Gunboat's 2 wheel '99, unknown to him, has RSTD bars on it. When I went to pick it up and got on it I thought it had the 1-1/2" risers on it, but it does not, but the pull back is there. The grips may be even a little farther back than with the risers on RSV bars. There are some other indications that they are not RSV bars, too. I have not yet had the chance to park my RSV next to it to compare cables, but from what I have seen, all the cables were stock, and there is no problem there. BTW the new DQ around the corner from us is now OPEN!!!
  24. This may be another dumb Walter question , but is that Strat tire mounted in the correct rotation? It looks similar to the Michelin Commander on the front of my RSV and the outside tread grooves on it are pointed in the opposite direction as your picture.
  25. Thank goodness their injuries at this point do not appear to be life threatening. Details are sparse, but Buck and Nikki flipped their GW trike, yesterday. From what the daughter told me she was driving and went into a curve, somewhere around Hattiesburg, MS, too fast. The trike got up on two wheels and I guess it was "downhill" from there! Both have multiple broken ribs, bumps and bruises. He is not as serious as she, but both are in intensive care at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. They both told the daughter they would be back on the bike, although, because of some of the road rash, Nikki told the daughter, "never again without a full face helmet!" They were both wearing 3/4. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!!!
