I think my scoot has had it's last bath!!! Last few times I washed it things went wrong! Just before Doodle's MD gave it a bath and one of the wind deflectors, by the right front fork, fell off. The good news there is it fell off in my driveway. Washed it before MD in Ohio, the other deflector is on the highway somewhere north of Cincinnatti Today I washed it to go to kbran's MD and now the intercom sounds like the fuel pump is running in my helmet headset!!!

:223:I have a basic first aid kit and CPR mask that live in my left saddle bag. I'm sure most of you have one on the bike too, but do you have some kind of sticker to let folks know there is a kit on the bike?

Before we had a TV with a picture on a screen we had an Philco radio that showed pictures in your mind. I remember running in after school and tuning in to "The Lone Ranger" program! Back then the way the radio programs were you could "see" the picture by closing your eyes and LISTENING! BTW 25, yup older than dirt!!!

was install the wind deflectors in the crash bars... So far have replaced the right crash bar (almost) and replaced the broken tabs on the right lower fairing. But then I found an intake leak behind the right air filter, and the drain tube not connected to the rear of the right air box. Well there is no dirt or oil in the intake piping now... Maybe I'll have the wind deflectors on by kbran's MD

but I didn't realize they were still caught up inside the right lower. As some know the PO fell down and skinned up the the whole right side of my bike before I bought it. I knew this going in, so no big deal. Not sure what happened to the left lower, but the front two button head bolts are all that is holding both lowers on. Yesterday I decided to install my new wind deflectors that mount on the crash bars. Well the PO had just straightened the right one even though the top mounting hole was torn. The deflector did not look right, so I decided to install the new (to me) crash bar that has been on my shelf for too long. When I pulled the lower, the two broken mounting tabs fell out, Yay!!! The PO had tried to glue them back on with some type of hard white stuff. It didn't "weld" to the ABS. As the tabs edges would not sit flat down on the mating surface I didn't think the ABS glue would hold them, so I decided on reinforcement, ABS glue and epoxy. Not the prettiest repair, cause there are screw heads showing, but I suspect the tabs will not come off anytime soon! I found some sheet metal screws(they don't all match, but they don't show either) and installed them at 90 degree angles, then filled the cavities with (two part) epoxy. The epoxy may/may not stick to the ABS, but it WILL stick to the metal screws!

Just for grins and giggles, try throwing 1/2 a can of Seafoam in the next two tanks of gas... -
Check these out. http://www.twowheelsound.com/economy_headsets?b=1 Seem to be good folks. I just bought 2 of the "P" series from them. One for me and one for the wife. http://www.twowheelsound.com/inc/sdetail/976/980 Probably spent more than I meant to, but the (really) cheap IMC Motocom that I bought last year really did not hold up. We'll see how these hold up.

1st off if you just bought your TD have you wound it against the rev limiter in 1st,(46MPH) 2nd(66MPH) and 3rd(96MPH)? These V4s are a different beast and need the rpm to really perform. Ridden correctly, "right outa the box", this bike will "do in" most Hardleys. Yeah they will jump you off the line, but for the most part by the time you are 1/2 way 3rd they will be a ways back in your rear view mirrors!!! :stirthepot: -
Being lazy and staying under the A/C. Too hot to be outside. The middle and youngest young'uns came with DQ cake and presents. The oldest one called from GA to say "Happy Father's Day, Oh and can you send us $20.00." Spent a while watching my new RLAP V DVD.
