  3. Thanks Randy!!! I posted it on my FB page...
  4. Don't know the dealer, but at today's shop rates $65.00 is not TOO bad for the 30 minute job. But for the cost of the gas and fellowship, come to Doodle's MD the end of this month and get it done free.
  5. Just my I even went a step further and not only put my passing lights on a relay, but I put in a second relay for my headlight. This gets more load off of the ignition switch. Now being safety minded and lacking night vision ability, I wired a toggle switch parallel to the headlight relay, just in the event of a relay failure, I can still have
  6. :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: Yeah, who was that and what has he done with Dan???? :stirthepot::stirthepot:

  9. GREAT AIR SHOW They carry more insurance on the models than on their RV's, with good reason. The trash cans at the flying field stay busy. It is considered a normal part of the hobby. http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=zYPag3LuKlA
  10. Have you installed them? What's the verdict???
  11. 1st off unless you see the magic smoke or have a blown fuse you don't have a "short". Now that being said I wonder since the lights work for a short time and go out, has someone installed a circuit breaker in the wiring for the passing lights? THAT could explain why the lights are on then off. After a certain period of time the circuit breaker resets. If it is there it could be too small to run the lights or be weak. Do you have voltage to the switch, in the left passing light housing? If so is there power to the "switched" side of the switch? If so, is there power to the light bulbs? If so turn off the key and check continuity to ground on the grounded side of the bulb(s). Now if there is NO power to the toggle switch, start physically following the switch's power wire back to see where it goes for power. As mentioned there is probably a Scotch-loc connector tapping one of the headlight wires. Oh, to digress a bit, some bikes are wired so the passing lights are only on on low beam. Some are wired to be on only on high beam and some are wired to be on anytime the ignition switch is on. Have you tried both positions of the dimmer switch? Have you actually had the passing light bulbs out of the buckets? One of the passing lights on my bike started going out occasionally. When I pulled the bulb out I found the ground wire lug broken, where it is riveted to the bucket. So what I'm saying, to troubleshoot this problem, it would be best done bu either starting where you DO have 12V and going forward to where you don't, OR starting at the bulbs, where there is not 12V and tracing the wires back to where you FIND 12V. Good luck!!!
  12. I've bought this one but have not installed it just yet. Run/brake/turn http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2Ftlb-r11.htm#photos here's one that is just a run/brake http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2Fblb-r9.htm#photos
  13. :rotf::rotf::rotf: :shock3::shock3:
  14. I'm looking real hard at the Wally World $45.00/month cell phone plan. I'm currently paying AT&T about $200.00/month, for 3 lines. I still have the "old" unlimited plan, but I hear they are beginning to FORCE us off of that plan, by throttling down the speed. 1st question is will it sync with an exchange server for email? Currently I use a 4YO Blackberry but have to pay AT&T extra a month for "Enterprise Activation" for connection to the company Exchange email server. 2nd, from the looks of it at Wally World there is only one "phone" for sale for the $45.00/month plan. Will other "phones" work on this service? (I really like my current BB! Yeah this old dog don't like new tricks!!!) 3rd, For those that are using this Wally World service, what do you think? How is the coverage?
  15. The good news it IS under warranty! The bad news is I'm not finding where I filed the receipt!
  16. Well, the Canadian Cruiser Custom HID light that I installed last April has developed a mind of it's own. Sometimes it won't light up and when it does light, when it decides it goes out. It did that several nights ago, so thank goodness for the passing lights!!! The middle little "bump" in the bulb is cloudy, and I don't remember if it was that way when I installed it. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this kit, to determine if the bulb has failed or if the ballast has gone out? Oh well, for now the bike has a brand new Silverstar Ultra installed.
  17. I just received my run/stop/turn light from Super Bright LEDs. I know to mount it to the bolt holes between the helmet locks on my RSV, I need spacers, to set it out enough to clear the trunk. I have seen where some of you that have this light bar have used what looks like white plastic bushings. I'm wondering what they are and where did you get them? Or what have others used?
  18. What would it hurt to call and ask if you were to bring them 5 - $100.00 bills, could you take it home today?
  19. This may have been posted before, but worth another look!!! http://www.dogwork.com/owfo8/ OWL LANDING RIGHT ON A CAMERA FANTASTIC!! Owl coming right at security camera. A hypnotic piece of film slowed for your pleasure. The last two or three seconds are phenomenal.
  20. Oh you are in there, I was looking at the airplane....:stirthepot:
  21. What size is the Ducati? Cousin had a 450 single, years ago. It was a FUN bike to ride once you got the beast running. Yeah, shift on the right and brake on the left was a challenge..... Oh and if YOU didn't kick IT, just right, IT would KICK YOU!!!

  23. Those SCUM had a really bad experience in Brandon, MS!!! It was amazing that several vehicles in the Brandon area had engine failure or ran out of gas in the motel parking lots RIGHT BEHIND all the cars with Kansas tags! There were so many break downs in fact it was HOURS before tow trucks could get to them! And sadly the event they came to disrupt was over, by the time the tow trucks arrived!!! And THAT was just one of their difficulties......
