  1. AND disconnect the factory harness from the horn under the left lower and run a larger second wire from the relay to one terminal on it. Then put a short ground wire from the other horn terminal to one of the horn mounting bolts. The combination of that horn and the Stebel is REALLY loud!!!
  2. Not sure about other states, but in Mississippi, one can take a restored "salvage title" vehicle to the highway patrol and, for a fee, have them inspect the vehicle and issue a "clean" title.
  3. A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, She complained to the driver and he had the man arrested. The case came up in court. The judge asked the man (about 20 years old) What he had to say for himself . The man replied, 'Well your Honour, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I grinned. Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile. Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, 'William's Big Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself. But, Your Honour, when she moved the fourth time And sat under a sign that said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident!' ... I just lost it.' 'CASE DISMISSED!!' :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:
  4. BTW to get to the above mentioned pins there is an almost invisible snap ring that has to be removed and then the star shaped piece can be removed. It is not absolutely necessary that the "star" be put back exactly how it came out, but it will go back in easier if you do. Use some fine grit emery cloth to polish the pins then lube them with a high quality grease. Most of us use the Honda Moly 60. It's available from Honda motorcycle dealers, but cheaper from a Honda car dealer. Oh while you have the rear wheel off it is probably a good idea too to remove the 4 acorn nuts and pull the final drive, so you can lube the splines on the forward end of the drive shaft.
  5. Not sure of the thermostat opening temp, but I suspect it is around 190 degrees. If this is the case it will keep the engine at a minimum of 190 degrees, so when it opens, it sends 190 degree coolant into the radiator. That means the air coming through the radiator picks up this temp and dumps it right on your feet. So, highway pegs to get your feet out away from the hot air is a good idea.

  7. The hardest part of the job is getting all the old gasket off the engine case.
  8. 30A from Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. BTW I agree with Squidley about the placement of the switch between the power source and the relay. But I'm prejudice in that years ago having the switch in the neutral(ground) side of a 120V circuit almost killed me.
  9. Hey if you REALLY want some OH S**T!!! moments, try a sidecar!!! :stirthepot: :rotf::rotf:
  10. Hmmmm, think I've seen that color combo before..... :rotf::rotf: Are you gonna keep the car tire on it?
  11. :crying::crying:
  12. Wait, I see a Moped, a yellow something, a green something and the 1st Gen,on the trailer, doesn't that make FOUR??? :stirthepot:
  13. Granddaughter was the 1st passenger after I installed it. Had to put her luggage in the sidecar and her on the navigator's seat. She sleeps back there almost as much as my wife. :rotf:
  14. Just received an email from a married buddy - subject line was "my wife left me" _________ The wife left a note on the fridge......... "It's not working!! I can't take it anymore; I've gone to stay at my Moms!" I opened the fridge, the light came on and the beer was still cold......... What the hell is she talking about?!!
  15. 85 and 86 are the "control" terminals and polarity really makes no difference. For me I tapped the power from the auxiliary power ("cigarette lighter") plug, instead of any wire to the headlight. My reason is so if for some reason I blow the headlight fuse, the passing lights won't go out TOO! Then since my relay has an 87a terminal I ran the power to 87 as opposed to 30. I then used terminal 30 for the wire to the light bar. If you relay does not have an 87a terminal, then it makes no difference how you hook up 87 and 30. If your relay has an 87a and you run power to 30, 87a will be "live" with 12v when your key is off.
  16. Opened fine for me too! Now that I have installed the "hack" the bike won't be leaning, so I wonder what the engineers would say about a CT now? Seems it would be the same thing as having CTs on a trike, just one less.
  17. Thanks Bobbie and George for the hospitality, Tuesday night and Mike and Patricia (GAWILDCAT) for the hospitality Wednesday night!!! I picked up a girlfriend (the granddaughter) in Warner Robins and she and I made it safely home about an hour ago. I wish there had been an A/C unit on board, but no such luck. So far I've had no passengers IN the sidecar. The Granddaughter brought SO MUCH stuff (takes after her Granny!!!) that we had to put it all in the sidecar and she rode on the navigator's seat. This was her 1st real M/C "trip", so after 420 miles in 95+ degree temps, I'm not sure she wants to ride again.
  18. Ride south to Jackson, Saturday, lunch is on me.
  19. Like the story of the judge that asked a lady why she shot her attacker six times. Her answer; "Because when I pulled the trigger the seventh time, it went "click"!"
  20. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t5f5AwkkiY&feature=share][sURVEILLANCE VIDEO] Shooting At Florida Internet Cafe - YouTube[/ame] :cool10:
  21. :cool10: It's on there!!!
  22. Well that's kinda the same thing as a broken drive belt, just more expensive...
  23. How far out in left field would I be to ask if you checked the drive belt?
  24. And I guarantee you that when you fill up the tank on a G2, when you 1st ride away from the pump, you KNOW you have added that 30(something) pounds to the top of this beast!!!
