Pilot. I don't believe there is a site with instructions for installing the risers. However it is fairly easy. I will try to explain it for you. First remove the chrome caps over the riser bolts. (I used my fingernails for this, but you may need a very small screwdriver or a pick). Next remove the 4 bolts that hold the riser caps on, making note of where the dot is on the riser caps. Raise the handlebars enough to get the risers in, then replace the caps using the longer bolts supplied in the kit. (Remember where the dots went?). Adjust the handlebars and then torque the bolts to spec. (23 ft/lbs, I think). When the handlebars are moved out you may have to pull some slack in your cables or even reroute your throttle cables to keep them from binding. I didn't have to reroute. I was able to get enough slack by just giving a strong tug to get them to pull through the holders. I hope this helps.

Great looking pics there Dennis. I can't wait to get out there and see if for myself. The wife and I are leaving on June 28th from W. KY for Taos NM, then Page AZ. After a couple of days at Page we are going to wander our way up through Utah, then into Colorado to the Denver area before heading home. Our plan is to hot-shot to Amarillo TX, then take 2 lane roads the rest of the way to Denver. I just hope we can come up with some pics as nice as yours.

Cindy I just cannot imagine any company woud want an employee to show up while they were taking narcotics. I don't know what he is taking, but Loritab and Percoset are both narcotics. If he were to just fall asleep and fall out of the chair they would be liable for more than just a couple of days pay. I would call and beg the doctor to rewrite the order explaining that Gary was taking narcotics. (Of course you HAVE to talk to his nurse first, hence the brownies)(Nurses run on chocolate). Good Luck.

Cindy. With both of my surguries I noticed an increase in the pain level after the meds from surgery wore off. Also I was feeling froggy and tried to move around a little more. I had to take Percocet until I started seeing little animals on the walls. LOL If he is taking strong meds he sure doesn't need to be driving ANYWHERE, much less to work. I can't imagine an employer want to take that kind of liability by making him show up for work, then sit in a chair for 8 hrs. Can we say STUPID :bang head: here??? I bet his doctor could override that order. I have found that brownies help with doctor bribes.

I'm glad to hear that Dale is doing so well. He is bouncing back very fast if he is on the couch already. With my first surgery I slept in the recliner for 12 weeks. But it pretty bad. The doc tried to fix it with a scope, but couldn't so they had to open the shoulder up. That adds a lot of time to the recovery. Tell him we will continue to pray for him AND you, if you grab his shoulder again. Thanks for the update.

I use the Wal Mart cover that Eck mentioned. Been using the same one for 4 years. It doesn't take up much room and does a decent job of protecting the bike. It has been on during some pretty serious storms.

I have a Venture-Dad hitch that I put a mud flap on. I stopped by an Advance Auto parts store and got a set of small rubber mudflaps and cut them down to the size I wanted. Using some self drilling, self tapping screws I bolted it to the front part of the hitch crossmember. I wanted a mudflap with a naked girl on it but the Warden said NO! She is such a spoil sport.

Wow Don, you ARE blessed. You have a beautiful wife, a great son and a pond monster. What else could a man want???:stirthepot:

Rindercella, I've had 2 rotator cuff repairs in the last 3 1/2 years and Eric hit it right on the head with the recliner. It will become his best friend. The one thing I can add is DONT LET ANYONE GRAB THAT ARM:no-no-no::no-no-no:. The first time I went out to eat after my first surgery, two different people came by, slapped me on the shoulder and said "I sure hope that arm gets well soon" . Talk about a lesson in pain management. I hope Dale does well and recovers quickly. I will pray for the both of you.

Eddie. I distinctly remember you putting your carb tune on the top shelf of that secret closet that everyone puts things they store that is labeled "I'll put it here so I won't forget where it is".:rotfl: That is why all of my tools stay scattered all over the workbench. They are easier to find like that.

Is anyone tracking where these tires are made?? Yesterday my riding buddy noticed the rear tire on his Roadstar had seperated. It had 8K miles and was due to be replaced, but he went on a short ride and the tread seperated by the time he got back home. He went out last night to check it out, and sure enough, the tire was made in BRAZIL! Is there a problem with the tires made in Brazil? We both have ridden a lot of miles on Metzlers without a problem, but this is making a Bridgestone look real good.

One more idea. I wrap a rag around my brake calipers and hang them with a piece of wire so they wont put a strain on the hoses. I always check out my brake pads when I change a tire. The rear brake pads seem to go first. I'm only getting about 18K out of mine and I use the front 90% of the time. Good luck

1. No, the driveshaft does not have to be removed. 2. No. The gears will mesh up in any posistion. 3. Yes. The Craftsman jack will do a great job. If you plan on doing your own service, I recomend purchasing a Lift Adapater that Larry, Carbon One, sells. It makes lifting much easier and safer. It also makes a great stand for working on the bike with the jack out of the way. The lift adapter is listed in the classified. I think it is in the $125 price range, but dont quote me on that. Pulling the tire is pretty easy. You dont have to, but I would reccomend taking both saddlebags and both mufflers off the first time. Just makes it much easier to see what needs to be done. Remember to use plenty of good grease on the gears.
