  1. Baron's www.baronscustom.com , has a couple of different water pump covers. I didn't see a ball milled listed, but it might be worth checking out.
  2. I ran a new ground wire, 10ga, from my battery to one of the mounting bolts for the electrical box under the fairing. That is what I use for all of my ground connections.
  3. Hey Steve W. I found those LED/Reflectors like the ones you have on your new ride that you stole. I found them in J&P Cycles and J.C. Whitney. J&P has the best price that I have found so far. Here is the link if you want to take a look. http://www.jpcycles.com/Search/ProductDetail?sku=ZZ33350&N=28004851%20275060&Ne=755118&Ntk=All&Ntt=&Ns=DefaultSort&results=25&No= If that doesn't work the part number is ZZ33350. I like the looks of them, but they are a little pricey. I may have to wait until the Warden starts getting a paycheck from her new job.
  4. That bear was checking to see if Yammer Dan was after his gloves... :rotfl: :stirthepot:
  5. I have had some similar problems with the front bulbs not staying grounded. It seems that water can get in them and start the rust process. I have started using a dab of di-electric grease on the bulbs to try to keep the corosion down. I don't know if it helps with the corrosion issue, but it sure makes it eawier to get the bulbs in and out...

    HEY SteveS!!

Hey TOM. Ya'll don't want to see it hooked to the bike any more than I do.. I got home with the trailer late on Wednesday night and left the following Friday afternoon for work. Since I am gone a month working, I had to take care of some "honey do" stuff before I left. I plan on getting off work around the 25th of Sept and heading out on a short trip shortly afterward. I promise to take some pics and get them posted as soon as possible..
  7. Boomer. You should add "SAWED OFF" to that sentence. It sounds much more menancing...
  8. At my age a vivid imagination is much better than a camera... :crying:  :stirthepot:
  9. Just what do you wear under a toga anyway?? :confused24:
  10. Hey Gunboat. Are you still working on the boats? I've made that salt mine trip a few times myself back in my younger days. Now I work primaryly on the Mississipi River. In fact I am in Davenport IA now, heading for St Paul where it is getting REAL cool... :bang head: I would like to come down and make that tour with you. I've seen the pepper fields, but never the production plant.
  11. I am so glad to hear that others are helping to take care of the deployed one's family. It shows the "mark" of a man to do that. Boomer, you are selling yourself too cheap. I would have held out for cherry pie...
  12. Nope, that's not it. Dan's bear was black, wearing gloves and his helmet... :stirthepot:
  13. Beautiful animal there Don. I bet it won't be long before she is ruling the roost..LOL Maybe she can do something about the pond monsters...
  14. Well my favorite is actually cherry, wellll, maybe chocolate or is it chess??? And I do LOVE apple and blackberry and coconut. And of course a sawdust, or peach cobbler... just too many decisions. Hey, we are Ventureriders, BAKE IT AND THEY WILL COME.. Did I mention banana creme??? :stirthepot:
  15. You must tell us what kind of pie it was. It is so important to include ALL of the critical details. :rotfl: Pie at a maintance day?? I'm mapping out my ride to Sleeperhawk's right now. :innocent:
  16. This is going to be crazy, but the wheel looks like it is too far to the left. Isn't there a a spacer that goes in the differental itself??? I would pull the wheel, remove and inspect every piece, then put it back together. The brake rotor should be in the center of the caliper unless the rotor has been removed and put back wrong somehow. Just my worthless opinion.
  17. Glad to see you back home Don. I know a week at the office is tiring. I don't understand why they think you should work when you go to the "big house". Take it easy and get rested up. By the way. Mini was the perfect angel this week. She was so quiet that it scaret me. She must be missing the Muffin Man real bad...
  18. I do believe this is an issue that could be debated until the end of time and never get it resolved. Since we all seem to be searching for answers, it would seem that everyone involved in this debate is concerned with doing the best that we can for our bikes. I truly believe that the majority of us already doing the best that we can. The most important part of this debate is to use good quality products along with a regular preventative maintance program. From what I have read in these posts, this is being done in spades. :clap2: Having wrenched on something for the majority of my life, I don't believe that the brand of oil is as important as using the proper type of oil for the application. I've run Yamalube in mine since it was new. After 63K miles and 5 years I will be switching to Rotella oil for my services. I believe Shell makes a good product and the oil is fitting for the application. Since it gets changed frequently I feel that this will give my ride many more years of service. If I am wrong, I will be sure to cry about it... VERY LOUDLY...LOL:whistling: to everyone with whatever it is that you are using.
  19. Now what can be weider than Yammer Dan chasing after a bear, in his skivvies, barefoot, with one foot in a cast??? :confused24:
  20. This lift adapter is by far, the best accessory that I have ever purchsed.  I wouldn't want to go back to working on my bike without one. :no-no-no: :mo money:
  21. Russ. The new lines should come with new crush washers. If it doesn't, most any parts store or dealer will have them. Just take a line or bolt with you for sizing.
  22. It ALWAYS happens when the Boss is away. "Control", for this group, is a very loosely held term. :rotfl:
  23. The best results I ever got with a warranty issue is when I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The phone calls started rolling in. I had my car fixed within a few days.
  24. I must retract my statement about your dealer. I'm glad he helped you out. It will help him when you get ready to spend money.
  25. I guess this means that I can't use "Gator got your Granny" as the title for my next post?? :stirthepot: :rotfl:
