One of the best investments I made. I have a 02. I synch the carbs about two time a year. My findings are sometimes there out and sometimes there not. Most of the time there off just a little. I fine that the bike idles smoother and performs better.

Eddie Big Boys sounds good. Because of the weather we will play this one be ear, if it's a warm morning we will be there. If not we will stay close to the house.

Sounds good Eddie. Maybe we can meet at a McDonnell's or something were it's not so crowded and we can let it warm up a little and have a little time to chat. If nothing comes up Diane and I are planing on being at the Northline & I-75 McDonnell's around 10:00am Have a little work to do on the bike today.changing out the rear end and moving the Sirius radio. "O" and by the way Diane and I have become a life-time Sirius radio member. If I would have done that the first year I would have saved hundreds. Hope to see you all tomorrow. AL

Low pressure tire pumps
Al Bates replied to johnny-canuck's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I found that it's the same pump with different names. There good little pumps and works well with the suspension. I purchase one about three years ago and paid around $42.00. I think it has Harley Davidson stamped on it. I think there all made by Progressive. (click on the picture below) -

What's the best tires?
Al Bates replied to adventurer 08's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The only bike tire for me is the Avon Venom. Southwest Moto Tires http://arizonamoto.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=SWMT Southwest Moto Tires 2440 North Coyote Dr. Suite 130 Tucson, Arizona 85745 info@swmototires.com Avon Venom 140/90HB-16 Rear (stock) Avon Venom 150/90HB-15 Rear (stock) Avon Venom MT90HB-16 Front (slim) I use the slim tire in the front because the bike is easier to handle in slow turns. You can also go to search and type in Tires and read other pass post about tires. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5704&highlight=tires -

Been using AVG Anti-Malware 7.5 for years have had no problems. Built 2 desk tops and purchase 3 lap tops over the years. Running Vista on the new Lap-Top. Found AVG works well for me. Not sure but I think I pay $40.00 for two years, well worth it. They also have a free unlimited use with out the Malware. I use the free AVG for years and liked it so much I decided to upgrade and pay for a licenses. I'm glad I did. AVG http://www.grisoft.com/doc/31/us/crp/0

Al Bates replied to bikerjohn's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)

E-mail from Steve: Thanks Al, Checked out the post and the comments. The heating system will only draw about 2 amps, so that should be no problem. Also the heating element will not change the look of the seat. Tell the guy's from your forum that if they mention your post for the month of March I will give them a 10% discount. If I get a few jobs, I'll give you a 20% discount on your seat. Thanks Al!!! Steve

Have to talk to him about this new heating stuff

Heated Seats I checked it out at the Michigan Swap Meet yesterday. Talked to the guy and said that he does all models and uses the best stuff out there. He had two seats on display so I sat on them and yes they were warm. Felt good if you know what I mean! The pricing was very reasonable. http://www.motorcyclehotseat.com Phone number 248-446-1718 Motorcycle Hot Seat c/o Steve Tamplin 11484 Ridge Road South Lyon, MI 48178 E-mail from Steve: Thanks Al, Checked out the post and the comments. I had XM at first about 3 years ago, moved to Sirius because my brother had it and I liked it a lot better, Sirius had a much better music selections. I also have it in the house. Had a little trouble with the antenna so I decided to RTV one on top of the chimney, Ran the wire down the chimney anded a extension and there you have it it's been working great now for three years. Advertising- Not much of that but it seems like there's a little more talking. I been using the Starmate 2 for the last 3 years (pic below) I have no problem with gloves. I purchase the Starmate 4 the Starmate 3 and 4 has a cradle and Starmate 2 dose not and it's a little bigger. Gearing up to make the switch and do a life time membership.

I change the rear tire between 10,000 and 11,000 I could get a little more mileage out of it but I don't press it. Better to be on the safe side. I found that the Avon tire is a soft grippe tire. Therefor it wears a little faster and that's ok with me. 15,000 miles to me is really pushing it
