Leon's 8787 Telegraph Rd Taylor, MI 48180 313-299-0967 http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=8787+Telegraph+Rd+Taylor,+MI+48180&fb=1&geocode=13616240500331232301,42.244707,-83.269818&oi=manybox&ct=14&cd=1&resnum=2 http://www.restaurantica.com/restaurants/230641/ Larry I was thinking about taking 75-south to 420-south to 20-south/east to 303-east to Hawley road. This way it's 135 miles. This way cuts out most of the freeway. What do you think.

Don, I don't think it is a big deal or an issue and I don't know of anybody that is upset. It's only feedback, It's just my two cents worth. This is a great sight and appreciate all the hard work you do keeping this sight going. But the post got my interest and thinking I would like to read on this subject . When clicking onto the post a password was needed. That never happen on this sight before.

There is a lot of info on this sight about that. Use search and type in Octane. All kinds of stuff comes up. I have tryed them all. For my 02 RSV 87 octane runs the best. In hot weather, just can't imagine running anything higher then 87 octane.

Thank you, Red Simpson (Red One) for having the balls on coming forward and being honest. I think your post says it all. No harm is attended here. We love Canada and the folks are the best. There are reasons why this rally did not take off. Honest good feedback is a way to fine out what went wrong. If we would have decided to attend this rally it would have been the most expensive of all and we attend a lot of rallies. I also get the feeling like I'm being shamed into attending. Behind close doors and password was not cool. Never seen that before. I thought thats what PM's are for.

Hello Ken, Eck put together a Natchez Trace ride a few months ago. Below so post from the ride. Not sure if you know about the "The Loveless Cafe." at the end of the Natchez Trace. (Nashville) It’s a great place to stop after finishing the Natchez Trace ride. They have motorcycle parking in front of the place, and just may be a entertainer there eating also, "The Loveless Cafe." http://www.lovelesscafe.com/famousquotes.html http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16016 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20146 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21318 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21503 Al

As a lot of you know, I never did like the modulator light system. There is a lot of different drivers on the road, young, old, handy-cap, drunk, crazed, and so on. I can see how, if a driver was stopped he or she would think the blinking light may be a turn signal. Only because they don't know and who knows what they are thinking at that time. That's how accidents happen. Not only that, if there is one behind me it's very annoying for me and I will get out of that position ASPA. Some one that is not familiar may think it's a police car and pull over, they are not pulling over just to let you by. That's my

Having the leveling links, (you can make for next to nothing) and the smaller front Avon tire makes a nice combination. Together they make a huge different.

Installing The Thermo Switch/s
Al Bates replied to StarRider07's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had to replace the fan thermo switch in my 02 a couple of years ago, the fan was not coming on. Did a little testing and found a bad Fan Thermo Switch. There's two of them one in top of the radiator and I think one in the thermo stat housing. The switch in the radiator is larger and controls the fan and the smaller one turns on the over temp light.- 3 replies

Hello Keith, Don't know if this is your problem. Check and see if fuel is coming from the Carburetor vent hoses. I had a problem with my 02 RSV. To make a long story short. I was smelling fuel and running rich. I could tell this from the black smoke coming from one of the tail pipes and the smell of fuel when it was running. I then found that fuel was coming from one of the carburetor air vent hoses (there are two hoses left and right side, that hang down under the air cleaners) I tracked this down to a carburetor that was internally leaking. I removed the spark plugs and identified which carburetor was leaking by the fuel in the cylinder and foul plug. The fuel was also running down the cylinder into the oil. The fixes. I removed the carburetor, disassemble, clean inspected, replacing the needle and seat, set the float levels. Then resembled the carb. Then sync the carbs. Problem fixed.

I Belong to the Venturer's and read about the new sight that was starting up. I belong to both for years. I like them both, but the folks are much more friendlier here on the Venture Rider sight. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/ADB/Bike.gif

Avon tires are the only ones I use going on for about three years now. Never seen cracks like that before. Good info. Thanks for posting.
