Anyone on speaking terms with the powers that be?
SteveB replied to Black Owl's topic in Watering Hole
I thought you were taking about my wife:whistling: It has sure been a wet spring here also. The weatherman is talking like there will be a change in the weather patteren starting on Monday. Then it is suppose to warm up into the 80's and be dry for the next 5-7 days. -
I recently finished doing an upgrade on my handle bars, using the Flanders bars and cables from Buckeye Performace. Using a lot of info form here, everything turned out great. So I am on to my next project: Looking to improve the sound from my 2008 RSV. I have replaced the stock exhaust with Harley Roadking's. but I am interested in trying out some Vance & Hines slip on's. Does anybody here, have that exhaust on thier bike ? I have heard and seen a small clip on youtube, but not a lot of information there. Steve

I am interested in having 2 of the cups. -
I am looking to up grade my stock handle bars to a set of Flanders. Probably will do the whole upgrade to the stainless steel lines. Who has the best price for this upgrade ? If there is someone close to where I live that has done this I would sure like to check it out. Steve

I was having problems dragging my pipes hwen I was riding 2 up. I had lowered the rear of the bike when I bought it new. This last srping I lowered the front of the bike by raising the tree. I also had Rick Butler modify my seat. All of these things helped, but I found that I was still dragging on the pipes when I would go into a corner, or hit a bump in the road. I purchased some longer links through Pinwall on ebay. and put them on this morning. That raised the back of the bike back up and now it is sitting pretty level from back to front. We are getting ready to head out on a trip so we'll see how well it handles. Steve

Did anyone of you lose a six hunred pound pet the other morning? I found him sitting on my chest . After a trip to the hospital they captured him and I felt almost good as new. Whoever owns this critter can have him back, but I can tell you it is not house broke.

I checked with Allen at Diamond R Accessories and he informed me that thier leveling links will not work with the Baron's lowering kit. So now I am considering returning to the stock heighth on the rear unless someone knows of another solution.

I have a 08 Venture Royal Star. When I bought it I had the Baron's lowering kit transfered from our 99 to it. Since then I lowered the front of the bike by sliding the tree up. Is there a way to raise the back of the bike up without going all the way back to the stock height.

I am thinking of putting a shorter windshield on our 08. I am sure that some of you have already done this modification. So my questions are. How short is your windshield ? If you ride two up, how does the shorter windshield effect your passenger ? Any other advise will be considered.

Have an 08 that has over 12,000, original tires on it "404's" I am replacing them this week with the E III's front and back. The front is cupping some and the back is getting a little thin on tread in the center of the tire. The last 1,000 miles that I put on seemed to show the wear quicker than I thought it would. I have heard alot of different opinions here, but the E'III are what I am going with this time.

21 Years with the MO. D.O.C. the last 11 at a C-5 Institution. "You catch em, we keep em". Wife says I can't tretire anytime soon cause I want to spend to much time traveling on the bike. I'm okay with that so long as she tags along. Everyone keep safe.
